Hannity Quotes Anti-Semite On Obama's "Radicalism"

Just in time for Yom Kippur comes a reminder of what a world-class ganef Sean "Shonde" Hannity is. On Sunday, Hannity ran a "special report" entitled "Barack Obama: History of Radicalism," in which he presented, as a credible resource, at least one gentleman with a radical history of his own. We speak of Andy Martin: peripatetic electoral also-ran, self-styled "consumer advocate" from a parallel universe in which evil consumer advocates thrive, and one of the few people to earn the label "vexatious litigant" from the Wikipedia. (Side note: "Vexatious Litigants Of The Wikipedia" is my new favorite punk rock band name.)

Martin is well-known for bragging about being a pioneer in the field of spitting out cuckoo-nutlog attacks on Barack Obama, but the far more interesting thing about Martin is that he's a dedicated anti-Semite. Ari from Oxdown Gazette has the details:

"...ran as a Democrat for Connecticut's 3rd Congressional District seat under the name "Anthony R. Martin-Trigona," his campaign committee filed papers saying its purpose was to "exterminate Jew power in America and impeach U.S. District Court of Appeals judges in New York City."

And that wasn't his only anti-Semitic outburst:

In a New York bankruptcy case, he referred to a judge as a "crooked, slimy Jew." During the bankruptcy dispute, he filed a civil-rights lawsuit claiming Jewish bankruptcy judges and lawyers were conspiring to steal his property. He asked a court to bar "any Jew from having anything to do with plaintiff's property."

In another motion in the case, he wrote: "I am able to understand how the Holocaust took place, and with every passing day feel less and less sorry that it did, when Jew survivors are operating as a wolf pack to steal my property."

How exactly, does this sort of cracked-out wackface make it into a report on someone else's alleged radicalism? Well, we remind you, Hannity has something of a history of pallin' around with anti-Semites.

How about, just a hypothetical, the founder of the Ku Klux Klan had given McCain his start in politics, had sat on boards of "charities" with him, etc. Would it fly if he said "I was only 8 years old when he was hanging black folk and burning their houses! "

Would it fly if he said "He hanged those black folk and burned crosses on their lawns 30 years ago and now he's an accepted member of Chicago society?"

Only in America can we use our freedom of speech to lynch a person on the daily nes and have so many call it relevant. For those of us who care about this country as more than a playground for the rich and famous, it matters that a major news network is blatantly racist, sexist and prejudice against all that is liberal.

As more Americans demand truth, even if it hurts, this will force Fox, Hannity, Rush and others who scream at us about how stupid we are to stop. In other words, we can only hope that con central is funded by stock-based advertising that dries up as the economy tanks.

We need to demand that these campaigns talk about issues, not trumpet personality and racist jabs. This would actually help McCain and Palin, unless they are serious in believing that Americans are dump enough to worship in their "cult of personality." Let's all talk about what would happen in a Palin presidency, shall we? The woman who would be queen doesn't have to answer questions, neither does her protege, McCain. Who's really trying to hide something here? And why is it so apparent to everyone but the major news media?
