It seems anxiety from the financial crisis is reaching new highs, but the tipping point for one individual came at the Lehman Brothers gym in the midst of the company's collapse.

While former Lehman CEO Richard Fuld was testifying before the House Oversight Committee Oct. 6, CNBC reported he had been punched in the face at the Lehman Brothers gym after it was announced the firm was going bankrupt. CNBC and Vanity Fair contributor Vicky Ward said Fuld was attacked at the gym on a Sunday following the bankruptcy.

You know, if you can go to Guantanamo for bringing down Wall Street one way, why not make the rule all inclusive?

Does one Fuld getting punched in the gym hurt anywhere near as much as an entire nation getting mugged in the wallet? No matter how much it hurt, it couldn't have hurt enough.
Good thing everyone at Lehman's can afford health insurance.

The only real question is whether it should be classed as quel effing dommage or too damned tant pis.
Maybe there will now be a trend of making some of these guys come abruptly up against the reality of what they are responsible for.

If you've got nothing else to lose, some of the bereft are going tor reason, why not go down fighting?
And If you've maybe got a bunch involved like edgily volatile Russians, that pound of flesh is literally going to get pounded when due.

One of these hotshots is probably going to end up being on the priciest slab in the morgue. Wrongful gain ending in a whole lot of pain.

I say make them pay the winter heating bills for whole counties of Upstate. If we are leaving it to Chavez to do it, why not these swine.

Confiscate all his assets and put the proceeds in the treasury.
Put him and all the rest in stockades so we can pelt them with rotten tomatoes.
End result will be stinky stained poor wall street men. YEAH!!!

Has anybody heard a peep about how Bush threatened the House with martial law if they did not pass the bailout package????
See for yourself...a Rep Brad Sherman of CA discusses it on the house floor:

That's the October Surprise. No elections. Martial Law. Blackwater in the streets. They have the spyware that can be the overlord of all emails and blogs and they can shut it all down -- terrorists will be blamed, electric grid will go down and there will be rolling blackouts, rationed gasoline and we don't even have that old habeas corpus to protect us.

It seems we did bring "democracy" to Iraq. They took it from us and gave it to them.

Sunday, Oct. 26. Barack Obama arrested and put in protective custody. House and Senate dissolved. Democratic Party outlawed. News outlets occupied (except for Fox). Martial law declared. Elections suspended.

And as if to underscore the point - the Army deployed a combat brigade to the US for domestic training and helping in emergencies.

That's the political equivalent of putting a round in the chamber.

And the House caved and mortgaged our children and their childrens' future.

I know that congresspersons got an earful last week from constituents who are enraged about their taxes bailing out millionaires, but I'm not sure that they know just how deep this animosity runs. For years, we have been hearing about outlandlshly paid CEO's, who rake in millions whether their companies do well or not. For years, we have been hearing about the top few percent of the population becoming much, much richer while the bottoms stays on the bottom and the middle is scrambling like hell to stay in place. For years we have been hearing about how American productivity continues to increase quarter after quarter, with exactly NONE of the benefits reaching the workers. For years, we have been hearing about the ever-increasing disparity between what CEO's and their peons earn. And now, we hear how very same CEO's and theirr masters of the universe underlings have sqaundered our money in the giant casino called Wall Street, and how they now want us, the victims, to bail them out. The rage is approaching French Revolution level, as it should. No wonder the guy got punched. From what I've read, he deserves to be drawn and quartered. As this crisis deepens, so will the rage in this nation. And Bush can install all the military units he wants inside the country to control "civil disobedience". It will not make any difference.

Uh Oh... does this mean the Health Dept will petition Congress for a few billion dollars to fund a band aid for Mr. Fuld?

You joke, but for a few hundred million in kickbacks, they'll fund anything.....except the poor.
