McCain lobbed attacks on Obama today as the markets were in freefall.

Republican John McCain is calling Democratic rival Barack Obama a liar.

The GOP presidential candidate told a campaign rally: "Sen. Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed."

Read more about the turmoil in the markets today.

It has been another extraordinary and traumatic day on Wall Street, with the Dow Jones industrials plunging as much as 800 points before closing with a loss of about 350.

The catalyst for the frantic selling was investors' growing realization that the credit crisis is likely to take a heavy toll around the world. And while the Bush administration is starting to implement its $700 billion financial rescue plan, that and steps taken by other governments won't be enough to stop the global spread of credit troubles.

"AnneCatherick: I really liked your last post." Said HypnoToad, as well as others.

Her post was good, but accurate only in the sense of what RESPONSABLE women care about.
Take a look at the people that are surrounding Mac at His rallies, about half are women, whether bused in or not.

Remember the P U M A's and other such groups? Pal in, and other such prominent women that has come out against O, like Gerald ine Ferr aro or the woman that invited Mac over the day he suspended (not) his campaign.

Let's not forget Hills Herself, yes, one half of the Billery team, who gave license to the GOP and Mac to have the courage to do what he is now pulling: Terrorist assertions plus, while her other half, Bill, sold racism.
All while Mac licked His lips, quietly thanking her, maybe both of them for such a generous opening. If their own Dem-party can use it, so can I. Thought Mac.
Except the other eight candidates were of higher morale standards.

Women have the potential to do great things for the future of this world, but not all of them want to.

It's not a gender issue. There are dumb women just like there are dumb men. Both consistently vote against their own self interests, and are part of the brainwashed Republican base who basically just don't want to pay taxes, and somehow believe that in America, their tax dollars are going to those who are lazy and choose not to help themselves. These people are selfish, uneducated, hypocritical, ignorant and immature.

Why in the world would SNL invite Sarah Palin on to spoof the spoofer - can't see a win there.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:18 AM on 10/07/2008

It might be funny.

Oh right, what am I thinking? A comedy show is not supposed to be funny. A venerable vehicle like SNL has more important things to do, like helping a false messiah get elected.

There'll be time for skits later, this is an election year!

Palin appearing on SNL would be no different than having Milli Vanilli host the grammies.

McCain: "I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed."

Pot...kettle -- you can fill in the rest :)

And it's time to make a huge issue out of McCain's plan to cut 1.3 trillion from Medicare and Medicaid. MSNBC says that's a 20% cut out of the programs:

Wait till this info becomes widely disseminated in Florida!

"Chicago Tribune columnist Steve Chapman in the New York Times said the following: "If John McCain had a long association with a guy who'd bombed abortion clinics, I don't think people would say, 'That's ancient history.' "

Another jump ball for discussion purposes:

What if McCain had launched his political career in the living room of a former abortion clinic bomber who is now a respected professor at, say, a Christian college, who is unrepentant in his previous actions, but never charged with a crime, and was now pursuing a different avenue for his views...

And what if he'd given McCain a $200 campaign contribution eight years ago, and they'd served on a board together, and were "friendly" though they hadn't spoken in a while, and McCain had condemned his previous actions and didn't know him back then…"

From Jake Tapper.

That's a losing argument, Neo.

You're efforts are wasted, as always, on trivialities---because you cannot defend your candidate's positions.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:19 AM on 10/07/2008

You don't even attempt to defend ANYTHING about your candidate.

You dismiss and flag.

Don't you have some grandchildren you could be playing with?

(Oh yeah, right)

How 'bout that economy, huh?

Weird... it's almost as if you don't want to discuss the number one issue of this election. Why is that, exactly?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:22 AM on 10/07/2008

You guys promised that Iraq would be the number one issue of the election.

Why did Obama get the nomination otherwise?

I don't remember him making his case on the economy during the primaries.

Most Christian colleges, like the KKK all other hate groups, should be taxed out of business. We cannot continue to tolerate intolerance or there will be no USA left.

Christian Right Wing Colleges should be taxed like any other political action committee espousing intolerance and political propaganda. They've had a free ride at the expense of American taxpayers for too long.

Obama didn't put him on the board, and denounced what Ayers did when O was eight years old. How much money did Mc receive from Keating? You need to do a little more reading about your own candidate.

Regarding the thre-at uttered by one of McCain's supporters, and McCain's irresponsibility in not denouncing this kind of behaviour:

Are there not laws against inciting ra-cial hate? John McCain is beha-ving like a k--lan leader. He is a dis-gr-ace as a presidential candidate. Imagine what the world is thinking watching this? This is what you call mo-ral leadership? McCain has a questionable past and has shown again and again that he lacks what it takes to be President.

McCain does not deserve to be Pre-sident. He is behaving vin-dic-tively and er-raticly. He is out of con-trol. Who can trust this man? He is al-ie-nating Independents and all reasonable voters.

McCain has lost his mar-bles completely. He is a total sh-am of a can-didate. He has lost all sh-ame and di-g-nity.

The latest polls consistently suggest that 80% of the country think, overall, that things are going in the wrong direction. OK.......12%, however, think that things are heading in the {{{right}}} direction!!!!...... Are there that many members of Al-Qaeda in the public? lol.....
.....Guess there are just that many lobotomized Rethug lemmings willing to follow their Dear Leader and his old doppelganger McSame over the cliff.

I like that mix.

Obama will lose all six of those states.

You should have thrown in North Carolina. That's another state where he has a current lead that will evaporate.

I've seen a couple really good Obama ads. One was McCain strategist saying, "if we talk about the economy, we will lose." The other is calling the McCain camp out on the troop funding. I'm here in Texas so I don't see too many. Loved it.

Not only is Obama using thug tactics to silence opposition here, but also in AFRICA.

NAIROBI, Kenya – The government of Kenya is holding WND senior staff reporter Jerome Corsi in custody at immigration headquarters after police picked him up at his hotel just prior to a scheduled news conference in which he planned to announce the findings of his investigation into Barack Obama's connections in the country.

Corsi, the author of the No. 1 best-selling book "The Obama Nation," was picked up by authorities at his hotel at 9:45 a.m. and is being detained at Nyayo House, the provincial headquarters for Nairobi.

"Just as we were about to start the 10 a.m. press conference at the Grand Regency Hotel in Nairobi, Kenyan immigration approached us and detained us. Tim Bueler, my publicist, and I are now in the immigration offices, with our passports taken.

I'm worried that with the way things are going, by the time election time comes around, even if Obama takes it in a landslide, our nation and world is going to be in such a horrific state it's going to be impossible to stop the bleeding.

Bush and all of his fascist cronies should be imprisoned and held accountable for all of their crimes!!

"(CBS) In a sign that the race for president has returned to about where it was before the first presidential debate, the Obama-Biden ticket leads the McCain-Palin ticket 47 percent to 43 percent among registered voters in a new CBS News poll.

The Obama-Biden ticket led by a wider margin, nine percentage points, in a CBS News poll released last Wednesday, before Joe Biden and Sarah Palin faced off in the vice presidential debate. Obama-Biden led by five percentage points on Sept. 25.

In the new poll, the Democratic ticket leads by 3 percentage points, 48 percent to 45 percent, among likely voters."

Think how embarrassed you'll all be about your endzone dance in the third quarter when your team loses in the end.

Every credible national poll shows Obama up by anywhere from 3 to 8 points.

His average lead is 5.8 points.

The trend is to Obama, who has an 88.5% chance of winning.

The one thing you need to remember, the middle class is losing under republican control. That's why dems have registered 11 million more new voters than republicans have. Your time will soon be at an end. You continue to use sports metaphors when talking about the election. What you fail to realize is that once that game is over, the winning party is then tasked with governing. Something your party has utterly failed at.
