Palin Is My Hero

St. Petersburg Times:

Constantly under the watchful eyes of security, the media wasn't permitted to wander around inside Coachman Park to talk to Sarah Palin supporters. When reporters tried to leave the designated press area and head toward the bleachers where the crowd was seated, an escort would dart out of nowhere and confront him or her and say, "Can I help you?''

Suppression of the media? You can usually find the media in the middle of hurricanes, wars and other upheavals but they're too cowardly to take a stand with the McCain camp? What a bunch of wusses.

Reading this article a question occur ed to me: Does Sarah Palin have Secret Service?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:30 PM on 10/06/2008

Sarah has enough secrets without the secret service. She is the secret express!

She is probably banging every secret serviceman. Must be nice.

And I wouldn't send any press to Johnny's gatherings, either. Stop all press coverage of both of them

This is an illegal action on the part of her handlers. Unless there is something like an accident scene or crime investigation (which, let's be honest, this McCain/Palin crap may be), and unless one is prevented access for those reasons by a law enforcement representative, access must be provided. But, bless their hearts, they're just doin' their jobs.

Here is my suggestion...I wouldn't send any press. Don't cover any of her gatherings.

I second that. No acess = no coverage.

Why the press isn't putting this kind of thing on the front page is beyond me. Since when is this allowed? I'm disgusted by Palin/McCain's campaign--but I'm equally disgusted by the press which has allowed itself to be hamstrung by these morons and their tactics.

oh, so they weren't so happy with their face and words on The Daily Show?????

"Shotgun weddings are great!"

Perhaps they didn't allow press access because these "supporters" were actually paid to be there.

She is giving another interview to Fox tomorrow. Isn't this her 4rd or 5th to them?

Because they won't ask any questions she might not be able to answer.

In other words, they will be "feeding her" the answers.

I hear that she was wired during the debate. No one in MSM is talking about it.

Is this actually legal in public meetings?

"When one reporter asked an escort, who would not give her name, why the press wasn't allowed to mingle, she said that in the past, negative things had been written."

Well keeping her away from the press gives the impression that she has something to hide, which she may, so the press looks for the negative.

and lo and behold - this media suppression sounds even more negative and sketchy than anything those klowns at the rally could have blurted out -- well, maybe

McCain has nowhere to go now but down. He can run away from President Bush, but he can't run away from the Republican Party. The Republicans will be regarded from now on as "the party that wrecked America." Over the weeks ahead, as carnage in the economy and the financial markets ramps up, it will become increasingly clear. It is important that this meme be spread through the internet. I urge all commentators to adopt and spread the idea that the Republicans are "the party that wrecked America." It will work because it is the truth. Use it freely. Just spread the word.

When you blow off the press, the tend to try to dig up ANY little morsel of information. Had the McCain campaign been honest, forthcoming, and made her available, the press might not have been this bad.
