When reporters tried to leave the designated press area and head toward the bleachers where the crowd was seated, an escort would dart out of nowhere and confront him or her and say, "Can I help you?''

The McCain/Palin campaign is a joke. They want to try and control every appearance of this campaign and it's dishonest.
How was the writer of that article identified? Waiving around press credentials? Didn't look like journalism in the report?

I can't imagine wanting to talk to anyone who is stupid enough to vote for Palin. What would you be hoping to learn?

That is exactly why the neo conservatives selected her. They wanted a puppet to support their agenda of militarism, and global domination. This is exactly what brought down every other country seeking to be an empire.
In other news, As part of her potential Vice Presidential transition preperations, Sarah Palin has her staff scouting out potential "Undisclosed Locations". Unlike Dick Cheney, however, she intends to charge the Govenrment per-diem for each day spent hiding from the American People.
This is unbelievable. Again who in their right mind would vote for this ticket? Can you imagine what life would be like in a McPalin word. NO freedom of speech, NO women's rights. NO civil rights

The McCain campaign is taking this "Not talking to the press" to new levels. Human beings are creatures of habit, the same way McCain and Obama have running their campaigns for the last 2 years is same way their gong to run the White House. With that being said, McCain scares me, he's running a campaign based on deception and self-righteousness. McCain's campaign does'nt feel asthough they have to anwser to the American people, their all about image not about substance.

I was wondering why the reporter didn't just say, "No, thank you." and keep going. I'd love to see the court case on that one....

Reading about how the press is sequestered during a public rally, and how the audience is then used solely as a PR prop, the name, Ferdinand Marcos, keeps popping into my head. I wonder why.
Palin has more shoes than Imelda, that's for sure, which is saying a lot....

For God's sakes, why would anyone WANT to talk to a Palin Supporter. They have to have suspended reality to support her so what would you get besides vacuous platitudes. Too bad there are many up and coming conservatives in the Republican Party who want to return to their roots of limited govenment, lower taxes, etc. I may not agree with all their positions but I respect their integrity.
On the other hand we have Palin who has no real core belief - only what will get her elected.
I would LOVE to talk to a Palin supporter. I want to know if they can offer me one real-time logical, rational, well thought out, clearly articulated, tangible reason for supporting her that does not involve (1) gender; (2) race; (3) religion.
