New DNC Ad Criticizes McCain Over Negative Attack Ads (VIDEO)

The DNC has released a new ad criticizing McCain for his aggressive turn towards negative campaigning. The spot ends with McCain, in a clip on the campaign trail from 2000, saying "if all you run is negative attack ads you don't have much of a vision for the future, or you're not ready to articulate it." As TPM notes, the McCain campaign's ad spending is now nearly 100 percent devoted to attack ads. Watch the DNC's new ad below.

Ayers is a college professor. Obviously the college he works for does not think of him as a terrorist. The parents who have been sending their kids to his classes don't think of him as a terriorist. The government doesn't think of him as a terrorist or he would be in jail. Why should Barack Obama think he is a terrorist?

McCain is a true poet when it comes verbal bashing. His quick-draw sidekick has now shown her skill with the well-aimed slur. For decades, Sen. John McCain has scattered profanities around Capitol Hill like Johnny and his apple seeds. In 1998, he publicly levied a “joke” that simultaneously insulted Janet Reno, Bill and Hillary Clinton and especially their then teenage daughter Chelsea. He has dropped the C-bomb on his own wife and possibly Hillary Clinton. It makes one wonder how he first mentioned Sarah Palin to his campaign staff. If in fact they didn’t first mention her to him.
Now they try to pin their mud-slinging tactics on Obama for an old acquaintance? How about Charles Keating? He's refused to speak about your proven role in that criminal act.

The ad hits it at the end. McCain once again flip flops, and berated himself with these types of ads. John McCain doesn't get that people are tired of this BS, and are not really going to pay attention to this crap. Obama will hit back starting tomorrow with Keating Five, but there are many skeletons. Two of them are McCains relationship with Jack Abramhoff, Rick Davis, Steve Schmitt, Charlie Black, the minister Hagge, and of course his good pal and felon G. Gordon Liddy, from the Watergate break in, with whom McCain is close friends with and whom he has accpeted $5,000.00 in donations from. Liddy has also hosted a fund raiser for McCain. Of course, Todd Palin was a memeber of a party that wanted Alaska to seceed from the United States. There is also Trooper gate that still is being hidden by McCain, rape kits, Palin's tax returns of only 2 years ( and no where shows the per diems she charged the state), her hidden e-mail, and that oldie but goodie allowing herself to be prayed over by a preacher who hunts witches. This is only the tip of a Titanic sized ice berg!

That's why exactly 1.6% of the delegates at the Republican convention were minorities. That's why when you look out at the sea of faces at McCain/Palin rallies, they are remarkably homogeneous.

I never thought anyone could actually increase my respect for President Bush, but I would far rather have 4 more years of him in the Oval Office (at least he finally seems to be learning something) than John McCain and Sarah Palin.

me again. i've just watched the ad again several times. it is TERRIBLE. i can't believe how bad it is. i know it is pro-obama anti-mccain because it says so on huff post, but if it just came at me on a tv screen in a busy living room, the main thing i would take away is the really good shot of mccain, looking honest and forthright and saying how much he is against negative ads.

it is way too busy. the only clear simple audio/visual message is from john mccain. everything else is buried in "art-iness" take this ad down and fire whoever made it. or better yet, get them a job with the repubs.

this is the second "art school" ad from the DNC. it's even worse than the last one. relies heavily on literacy, both "reading literacy" and "media literacy". totally confused message. unless you are paying close attention to the screen, you could mistake it for a pro-mccain ad.
