Speaking in Albuquerque on Monday, Senator John McCain attacked Senator Barack Obama on several fronts that by now have become familiar. But many of his charges relating to the economic meltdown, taxation and health care contained inaccuracies or exaggerations of his own position or Mr. Obama's.

John McCain keeps saying we don't know Obama. What don't we know? ...... We know his life story through books, TV and from his campaigning, we have met his family, we know he has had just one wife, we can look up his voting record on line, we have watched him remain cool and calm in a crisis, we know he is truthful and doesn't like deceit, we know he cares about people after they are born, not just before. We know he hates war........... What is it we don't know? ....... We know he is a Christian, we know he was a professor, we know he worked his way through academia receiving the highest honors, we know he was president of the Harvard Law Review, we know he was a community organizer and he wants to help people down on their luck. We know he has been poor and doesn't feel entitled, we know he cares about America, we know he will work with a bipartisan approach. We know he is an honorable man. We know he doesn't pat himself on the back or tell the world he is a Maverick, we know he doesn't like to go negative, we know he doesn't use gimmicks to trick voters. We know he is intelligent and thinks things through. We know he will do the very best he can for all Americans. And we know, from all that is good, he will be our next President.

It looks like we are in for a very interesting debate on Tuesday night, If nothing else it will keep the fact checkers busy.
Obviously McSame is desperate and has nothing left in his bag of tricks except blatantly lying. i just wish that the people that actually go to his rallies call him out on it except wait they are just like him!!!! people need to wake up! McCain is no maverick he is a spoiled brat and that is the description made by people who have known him for many years and served in the Navy with him. People need to wake up and research his past.
Not only will they NOT "call him out,' but there are videos on MSNBC of his one in his audience yelling "Terrorist!" as he whips them up to an anti Obama frenzy, and one of a Palin rally where a supporter yells, "Kill him!" These people are rabid, racist trash and I can't believe the McCain campaign is encouraging their worst behavior.
Is there no Honor left in McCain? People are still in two wars and the person who wishes to call himself their Commander In Chief, does not even know the Defintion any more. He will never again be a commrade to me and my family and friends who have and are still in service. We are so embarrassed that the man we are seeing today has done what the man we saw for the last eight years do....DISHONOR THE CODE !

How do we get the facts to the heartland voters? They don't read the NYT, browse HuffPost, or really care for facts!
Most of us are already Obama supporters and while these facts are welcome, we already knew the truth.
These are classic traits of a compulsive, impulsive, and abusive personality. This behavior of McCain, now supported by history, shows a pattern of behavior most identified with Power and Control. McCain uses anger to intimidate, exaggerations to manipulate, and lies to avoid immediate accountability. .........

The NY Times has done an absolutely impressive thorough job of debunking McCain's lies and exaggerations contained in just one speech! Now if they'd put that article on the front page of tomorrow's paper, they'll do just a little to make up for their shamelessly ill-advised and uninformative front page article on that weak connection between Ayres and Obama.
