there was a time when i thought McCain was a trustworthy politician. all my good thoughts of him went completely out the window when he picked this horrible woman . Sarah Palin gives me the same vibe Katherine Harris gives me. not because the republican party , the sexists that they are, are only using Palin much liked they used the horse-faced Harris... but because she really thinks she is right. or justified .. reminds me very much of the Florida horsewoman Harris. Not to mention both are as wrong as they could be ... Harris is the reason i quit the republican party and now Palin only solidified my choice to change parties. She is a living, breathing, walking contradiction to all that is wholesome and good in american politics.. She is the reason McCain won't win. I love my country but im not proud of my country . Much like i love our troops and hate the war... The way the republicans lie and use the christian vote is gut wrenching and meritless.­.. They will not use me .. not this Christian.­.. my god taught me not to hide behind him.

Please keep up the dialogue. There are far too many unanswered questions about Palin to spend time on old news falsified and repackaged as fodder for media distraction. Continue to ask about her credentials and her record until the questions are honestly answered.

Perhaps more importantly, after 27 years, there are still questions about McCain and his role in the saving and loan debacle--p­articularl­y his role in history repeating itself on a larger scale with our current crises. I am glad that he got off the first time. Given his record as prisoner of war, I don't have a problem with giving him a pass. But please do not allow it to be a license to steal or for him to become a tool for those who seek to open the flood gates to allow others to steal in perpetuity. Please tell us McCain’s role, Graham’s role and Davis’ role in deregulating that environment.

So my point is just this: Keep your eye and your focus on the ball and don’t get seduced by the allure of distraction politics. The media is the front line. Please don’t be lured into Iraq when we need you in Afghanistan. Although it can be a two edged sword, keep up the quest for truth.

You are here because you are afraid. HuffPost is a known liberal blog. Of course, you are welcome to visit and to comment, but I find myself consistently surprised that conservatives, republicans and co. would bother to.

Personally, I'd never post to a right wing / conservative blog or news site. My arguments or comments would fall on deaf ears. And rightly so.

Glenn, I take your point; but think a bit further. If we are never to visit any blogs but "our own," nor to comment on them, we are stuck in our polarized stances. Ultimately, the only avenue out of embattled, entrenched, mistaken confusion is to talk to one another.

There's an easy way to start this. Find one statement you know is not so, on one of the "opposing" forums, find your proof (it has to be good proof), and pound the issue to death, one forum at a time, one username at a time, until there is no question that that meme is defunct. Rinse and repeat.

I said "easy," but of course this is only easy in concept. It does take devotion and discipline, to find a tiny corner of truth and push the issue ad nauseum (because that's what you need to do) until the liars quite pushing the bad meme.

And yes; by the time one meme is discredited, another two or three will have been served up for our debunking pleasure. But this is the only way to go, and sooner or later, even the most deceptive poster must acknowledge the truth.

I intently watched this video totally enthralled by the basic truth and common sense of it all and as it was almost over I had this huge, huge let down - it hit me how many people in this country are hailing Sarah Palin as a "rock star". Grown men dressing like teenage cheerleaders with pom pons in his hair, women who say that she is "just like me" who are still going to vote for this ticket because of her. I just cannot believe the stupidity of these people that they cannot see past the smoke screens the republicans are shoving in front of their faces.
