Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin called Afghanistan "our neighboring country" on Sunday in a speech that could revive questions over her tendency to stumble into linguistic knots.

Three days after a mostly gaffe-free debate performance, the Alaska governor fumbled during a speech in which she praised U.S. soldiers for "fighting terrorism and protecting us and our democratic values".

Time for a trip to LensCrafters, Gov. Palin. Your current prescription is way too strong. First you magically see Russia from your home, now it's Afghanistan. Please donate your lenses to NASA to repair the Hubble.

A practical example of Governor Palin's Foreign Policy Experience

Czech court to rule on fairy-tale kingdom

Paragraphs 10 and 11:
"But the Wallachian passports, they're not real passports, they're fake, right?" I venture.

"They are fake. But I did get into Alaska with one."

C'mon. It's obvious that Sarah Palin holds to the biblical ideal of the neighborhood, as in "love thy neighbor" or "though shalt not covet thy neighbor's goods." A neighbor is the same as one's fellow man, and in this case, Afganistan is a fellow country. Of course, the comparison ends there since it's apparently OK to covet a neighbor's goods if that neighbor is an oil-rich nation and "though shalt not kill" does not apply if you want to bomb bomb bomb Iran. I guess it's a good thing that countries can't commit adultery... although according to the National Enquirer, Sarah doesn't really believe so much in that commandment.

Palin Calls Afghanistan "Our Neighboring Country"
--- Good ol' empty-headed Sarah could just be a native of Pakistan, thus making her assertion that Afghanistan is a neighboring country not entirely incorrect. Think about it, ....Sarah holds the same rigid & wacko religious view as those nutjobs in the mountain borders of Pakistan & Afghanistan.

How many gaffes can you make in a 1 week period? I'll list a few:

1. Quoting Albright, "there's a special place in hell for women that don't support other women". It should be women who help other women and has nothing to do with politics. What she meant to say was if you don't vote for her, you're going to hell ;) giggle.
2. The constitution is "flexible" about the office of the VP. No it's not. If you want to expand your power, wait until you get into office and then do what you want, Cheney-style.
3. Obama's association with his ex-pastor. Her pastor is a 21st century witch hunter. I'll give her a pass on this one because that's kinda cool.
4. Obama's association with an ex-terrorist that was not convicted of a crime and who lives in his neighborhood. She sleeps with a former member of a terrorist organization that hates America.
5. She read the New York Times. Come on.
6. Dinosaurs and humans roamed the earth together. Self explanatory.
7. She loves Israel. Please. Talk to that idiot at her church who says the plight of the Jews is because they don't believe in Jesus. I heard somewhere that Jesus was a Jew.

Can we now say that the woman is dumb as a stump? Personally I think her soul is as black as night.

Well Afghanistan sure is a neighbour. It's right there next to that state that she is the executive of. The Afghans fly over Alaska on their camels every time they rear their heads. Every morning Alaskans look out their windows and if they see any strange men on camels they send them back home. Shoo shoo.

In Omaha yesterday she started the crowd up in a chant of "Drill Here! Drill Now!"

You'd think the folks in downtown Omaha would know better than to think there are oil reserves under their city....although there may be a few local ordinances from keeping Exxon from sinking exploratory wells in their front yards. But maybe the thing is that we can open up the mineral exploration rights to look to anyone. I'd be happy to put a few sinkholes in the front lawns of some Republicans!

These people, McCain, Palin, Obama, and Biden, talk all day every day, usually on camera. Small mistakes here and there are forgivable.

Do you honestly believe that she actually thinks that Afghanistan actually neighbors the US? Seriously? It was likely she just a flubbed line.

Do we need to replay the youtube where Obama talks about our 59 states...? This gaffe pouncing mentality distracts from serious issues.
