Palin Calls Afghanistan "Our Neighboring Country"

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin called Afghanistan "our neighboring country" on Sunday in a speech that could revive questions over her tendency to stumble into linguistic knots.

Three days after a mostly gaffe-free debate performance, the Alaska governor fumbled during a speech in which she praised U.S. soldiers for "fighting terrorism and protecting us and our democratic values".

Ramirez, it turns out that she's actually fumbled not just one, but many sentences in recent weeks.

In fact, you might want to check into the Republican response to her debate performance. In their eyes, the HUGE headline was that she was able to utter several consecutive sentences WITHOUT fumbling! AND manage to wink at the same time!

Oh, and the last time I looked at a national electoral map, Obama's heartland is one heck of lot bigger than San Francisco, and growing every day.

Palin has to campaign somewhere, and some of her base (rich people) live in Northern California.

When we cast our vote for a candidate we are recognizing that the person we want as our leader is smarter than we are in dealing with the issues they must face in their job. Those who vote for Sarah Palin as their VP are admitting that they are not as intelligent as she is. We must remember this point when thinking of Sarah's supporters. They either believe that she is their intellectual superior, or that they don't care whether the country is managed by someone who is their intellectual lesser. Of course, a voter wanting their country to be managed by someone who is their intellectual lesser shows how stupid the voter actually is or how little they respect the problems we all face. Someone who perceives that Sarah Palin is their intellectual superior is already admitting they aren't that smart. You can dumb down America, but you can't make dumb get the job done. Stupid is as stupid does, and W has proven how stupidly something can be done.
