Letterman Mccain

David Letterman has spent many days knocking John McCain for canceling on his program because he had to rush to Washington to fix the nation's financial crisis only to be found giving an interview to Katie Couric in New York at the exact time he was due on the "Late Show." But now it appears, according to a report in Tuesday's New York Post, that Letterman may be willing to forgive McCain.

The Post's Don Kaplan reports that the two are negotiating an appearance around the third and final Presidential debate, which takes place in New York:

David Letterman and Sen. John McCain are talking about making up.

McCain representatives and "Late Show" executives are negotiating an appearance on Letterman's show sometime around the final presidential debate on Oct. 15, according to knowledgeable sources.

McCain is expected to be in the New York area that week for the debate at Hofstra University on Long Island.

Representatives for both the McCain campaign and the Letterman show declined to comment yesterday.

There is the fact someone was SHOT BY A MCCAIN SUPPORTER for wearing an Obama T-Shirt. I hope Dave asks McCain about that. Wearing a flak jacket of his own.
McCain Desperate To Make Letterman Take Him Back.

I hope Letterman really gives McCain the works for blowing him off.
Better yet, he should tell McCain hes full of crap like he did Bill O'Reilly.
McCain is silly if he thinks he can get a last minute surge from Dave
giving him the royal treatment. Hey Dave, how about not showing up
for McCain's portion of the show?

McCain's people may be talking to Dave about letting McCain make things up to him but is John McCain ready to answer for his behavior? What kind of bullsh*t story can he concoct that will explain the feed with him getting ready for an interview with someone else? He LIED to Dave. He didn't fly back to Washington. He blew Dave off. I don't think McCain does well when he has to face the music.

Darn it. I was really enjoying this.

What's really going on here? Is Dave going to allow his show to be used as a platform for hate filled rhetoric? This isn't about forgiveness and that should be apparent by McSleaze's latest antics.

Dave should ask him questions like:

so you blew me off and lied to me to go to the c.o.u.r.i.c interview

do you plan to lie to the american people before you i.n.v.a.d.e ----- i.r..a.n ?

it would be funny if Obama purchases all the commercial break times during the show.

and prepare some spots like: hi Dave, I know that you invited the AARP tonight. here is my health care plan...

i hope that Obama will get a show with Letterman just before the elections

Don't do it, Dave!

Or wait until AFTER the election.

Don't give McCain any free publicity or help after the lies he made not only to you but the American people.

If you do go that route, don't be nice -- let him have it about his lies.

I'm all for it if Letterman picks up a copy of Rolling Stone and
asks McCain "What's this article all about?"

Or if Letterman requests that Cindy stand right behind the set.
Letterman should also have Borat sitting next to McManiac

With all the BS flying out of both sides mouths and with it getting worse by the day, I do think that ratings or not Letterman would be doing the country a disservice by bringing McCain on now. He should now wait until after the election - even though it might not carry the same ratings punch.

Hey Dave, do the right thing for the country and not for your already very deep wallet!

You betcha Dave wil do it, the question is, will he still stand against McPalin or make nice?

Dave, go for the ratings, but let him have it! That will be the best free advertising you may get in a long time.
