Letterman Mccain

David Letterman has spent many days knocking John McCain for canceling on his program because he had to rush to Washington to fix the nation's financial crisis only to be found giving an interview to Katie Couric in New York at the exact time he was due on the "Late Show." But now it appears, according to a report in Tuesday's New York Post, that Letterman may be willing to forgive McCain.

The Post's Don Kaplan reports that the two are negotiating an appearance around the third and final Presidential debate, which takes place in New York:

David Letterman and Sen. John McCain are talking about making up.

McCain representatives and "Late Show" executives are negotiating an appearance on Letterman's show sometime around the final presidential debate on Oct. 15, according to knowledgeable sources.

McCain is expected to be in the New York area that week for the debate at Hofstra University on Long Island.

Representatives for both the McCain campaign and the Letterman show declined to comment yesterday.

Keep in mind this is the same David Letterman who stood up to and butted heads with that nut-job O'Reilly on the show. Don't discount the possibility that he could end up asking McCain the questions the rest of the MSM is scared to touch.

Big mistake! Letterman has now earned my respect for doing something honest in exposing McSame as the liar that he is. If he goes ahead with "making up" with this jerk, his viewers are not going to take kindly to it.

Nice to know that his principles don't stand up to his corporate owners.

I have lost any respect, which was very little, for CBS and now for Letterman. How hypocrital can one by, who wants to see MCCorrupt any way???

Of course he'll do it ~ the ratings will be thru the roof. One can only hope that Dave does to McCain what Couric did to Palin during the intnerview.

Of course Letterman will kiss and make up. They are members of the same wealthy elite that rules America. Given their class affiliations they have more in common than differences. Letterman's ego was bruised so he was pissed but will make up to a member of his ruling class.

Well, Dave, ole Mac stood you up once. You think kissing and making up will make a difference? Be glad you didn't have to waste time and money on a cheap date that is "working the bar"!

Say no to Mac.

By the time McCain makes it on the show everyone will have to be wearing hip boots to wade through the (@%#&*) mud. McCain and Palin are really showing their true colors and they look good in dark despair. Is that woman vapid or what?

I have never seen such ugliness in a woman as this one brings to the table. She is pure dirt.

I guess this is the McCain campaign's sad attempt to win Indiana, since they won't spend any money in the state. They'll just try to patch things up with its famous son.

McCain's senility is getting to him: http://tinyurl.com/5zr47h

If Letterman lets McCain on his show I will never again watch it. McCain just wants a larger forun to lie about Obama. I will never ever watch Letterman again if he lets that dispicable McCain on his show.

I agree - Letterman is being "used" so that McCain can have an audience while he blasts on Obama and whatever "smear campaign" he is conducting at the time. And, especially if after tonight McCain does not do well, he will surely want to get on Letterman's show so he can use a "mind game tactic" on Obama....get him thinking about McCain's smears and off the issues. OBAMA-BIDEN!
