Fox News: "The Facts Are Not Irrefutable"

Here's an enjoyable piece of video of Fox News' William La Jeunesse attempting to speak extemporaneously about facts and fact checking and who fact checks the factcheckers for their factcheckiness. This was probably a big mistake, as what ensued was a festival of malapropism and double-negative misorienteering, culminating in a statement that many people might find to be a fitting corporate motto for Fox News.

LA JEUNESSE: Tonight as those candidates debate, an army of internet fact checkers will be trying to separate fact from fiction, acting as judge and jury as to which candidate is telling the truth or a tall tale. While most of these sites are non-partisan, timely and useful, like Factcheck.org and Politifact, remember, they are uh...well, their facts are -- no one is checking the fact checkers. And their facts...unlike science...the facts are not irrefutable. And now to Washington.

Actually, I have checked the information provided by FactCheck. And I've never found them to be wrong. So some people do take it upon themselves to check the facts, FOX NEWS!

Why don't you trying it sometime. Try checking your own facts and I think you'll find that you're wrong more than 50% of the time and 1/2 right 95% of the time.

Hey, La Jeunesse where did you get your journalism degree or do you have one? I hear FOX news will hire anyone as long as they can spew lies! Ask Karl Rove, Mr. Huckabee, Hannity, Colmes, & last but by no means least, Bill O'Reilly, the snake himself.

I've been listening to Matthews and Gregory this p.m. Both shows seem to be completely skewed to looking at the race from Sen. McCain's perspective. (What does McCain have to do to [your pick])?
But the very worst was David Gregory telling Valerie Jarrett that Sen. McCain had been exonerated in the Keating 5 scandal. I think David just absolutely and completely disqualified himself from ever hosting Meet the Press (or so I hope). He was just totally and completely in the tank for Sen. McCain. I gave up watching him weeks ago, so I have to ask: Is he like that every day?
