Crowd

In the latest instance of inflammatory outbursts at McCain-Palin rallies, a crowd member screamed "treason!" during an event on Tuesday after Sarah Palin accused Barack Obama of criticizing U.S. troops.

"[Obama] said, too, that our troops in Afghanistan are 'air raiding villages and killing civilians,'" Palin said, mischaracterizing a 2007 remark by Obama. "I hope Americans know that is not what our brave men and women in uniform are doing in Afghanistan. The U.S. military is fighting terrorism and protecting us and protecting our freedom."

Shortly afterward, a male member of the crowd in Jacksonville, Florida, yelled "treason!" loudly enough to be picked up by television microphones.

Here's the video:

At a McCain rally on Monday, television stations caught audio of a crowd member calling Obama a "terrorist," while Dana Milbank reported that "[o]ne Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, 'Sit down, boy.'" Also on Monday, at a Palin rally, one member of the audience yelled, "Kill him!"

During Tuesday's event, Palin continued her frontal assault on Obama's character by noting Bill Ayers after repeating a debunked lie about the Illinois Democrat's tax record that even McCain himself has stopped using.

Referencing an explanation put forward by David Axelrod on Monday -- that Obama was not aware of Ayers's past when they first met in Chicago -- Palin mocked Obama's foreign policy knowledge, saying: "And since he got called up on his plans to meet unconditionally with terror state leaders like [Iranian President] Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, will now claim that he was unaware of his radical background?"

Palin's political shot was effective with the Republican faithful, drawing a deep, collective "ooooh." As substance, it was less than edifying. Obama has repeatedly made clear that, of course, he finds Ahmadinejad's views to be "hateful and anti-Semitic," most recently on the occasion of the Iranian President's visit to the UN.

Later, in the tax policy section of her speech, Palin managed to repeat a thoroughly debunked claim about Obama's voting record that even McCain himself has stopped using.

"He voted 94 times for higher taxes. Even on middle class -- hard working everyday families across this great nation -- making $42,000 a year," she said.

As FactCheck.org noted in August, McCain's campaign originally claimed Obama voted to raise taxes on families making $32,000 a year, but have since changed their tax ads to say that Obama's vote would impact individuals making $42,000 per year -- not families as Palin repeated today. Still, FactCheck called the new McCain ad script "better, but still deceptive" -- a standard that Palin failed to meet this morning.

Sarah Palin-Iran tie: A Real Treason.
The founder of Alaska Independence Party Joe Vogler, the raging anti-American and Todd-Sarah's political godfather, said, "My government is my worst enemy. I'm going to fight them with any means at hand."

"Vogler's greatest moment of glory was to be his 1993 appearance before the United Nations to denounce United States "tyranny" before the entire world and to demand Alaska's freedom. The Alaska secessionist had persuaded the government of Iran to sponsor his anti-American harangue.

That's right ... Iran. The Islamic dictatorship. The taker of American hostages. The rogue nation that McCain and Palin have excoriated Obama for suggesting we diplomatically engage. That Iran."
Palin's friend and AIP chairwoman Lynette Clark : "[Sarah] is Alaskan to the bone ... she sounds just like Joe Vogler."

And her running mate rolled over on torture so that other countries will be encouraged to torture future Americans and perhaps build another young soldier's character to the lofty ideal John McCain has attained. It was his way of "protecting" our future.

Please do not mistake the sarcasm above.

My feelings exactly. When I see the people gathered at McCain/Palin rallies, I no longer see a crowd of supporters ... I see a mob ... a lynch mob! It's one thing to energize one's supporters on the issues, but quite another to incite hatred, and that's exactly what McCain/Palin have done. When they said they would focus on character in these last three weeks of the election, what they really meant was that they would focus on race, because that's the only weapon they have left. So they use words like "radical" and talk about his "terrorist ties" and say things like, "he doesn't see America like we do," or "he's not one of us." But what what they're really saying is that he's black and therefore cannot be trusted! For reasons that are not Senator Obama's fault, this election is bringing out the worse in a lot of people, and McCain/Palin and their mobbish supporters have become the symbol of the worse in America.

Yes, yes it is, noose on a tree. Images of a rabid crowd of hate. Shameful, a national raw nerve. It has to be addressed honestly.

She calls Obama a terrorist??? The definition of Terrorist in a nutshell is the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coece especially for political purposes. The state of fear and submission produced by terrosim or terroization......
As far as I can see Palin and Mccain are the terrorist. Making threats, allowing threats to be aimed at their opponent. Kill him??? These people so full of hate don't even see what is going on. We are losing jobs, banks, financial stability as a country and I could go on.
Palin and Mccain are allowing these types of threats to their opponent. These are the people they want running our country. Someone who eggs on violence to another AMERICAN. Security should have dragged those morons out of the rally (the one's who screamed out those viole comments) immediately. You don't see no one screaming violent threats to the Republican party at an Obama rally. Palin and Mccain are relying on the mind of the weak to implant their hate tactics inside and watch them bloom. Why would you vote for someone who tolerates HATE and VIOLENCE. I'm sorry but that is just beyond low. NO WAY would I ever vote for someone like that. I guess they peeled off their lamb skin and now their devil skin is showing now. We do not need HATE. It will get us nowhere but backwards as a country.

"I sure as hell don't know what bible they read!"

Most likely the same one you do. If you think the Bible is all about peace and love, then you obviously haven't read it. If you had, you'd know that God advocates slavery, rape, murder (including children), genocide, and the death penalty for homosexuals, adulterers, disobedient children, people who work on the Sabbath, the list goes on and on. Yep, it's all right there in your Bible.

Maybe you should visit this site: http://www.evilbible.com/

Perhaps you're confusing God with the people who claimed to speak for God. All of the things you allege that God advocates is what man advocates, and the Bible is both written by man and translated by man, and generally the translation that man brings to the Bible conforms to man's nature, not to God's nature.

Maybe you don't believe in God, and it's not my intent to impose my faith beliefs onto your beliefs. But if you don't believe in God, then you would still recognize that it is man who advocates the evil in this world. We have free will, and we are responsible for the choices we make, good or bad.

Eighty to ninety percent of people who claim to be Christian have never actually read the bible.
They pick and choose among the literal laws. They condemn homosexuals and choose to physically assault children but they ignore the command that every 50 years, purchased real- estate must be returned to the original owner(Leviticus 25). Who's obeying that one? If a son is "stubborn and rebelious", or a "glutton and a drunkard"(Deuteronomy21), or if a daughter loses her virginity (Deut. 22), or if children curse their parents (Exodus 21), or are homosexual (Leviticus21), or are "dreamers of dreams" ( Deut. 13 ), or just gather firewood on the sabbath ( Numbers 15 ), then the parents should have the children stoned to death. Who's obeying these legalistic injunctions? And why are homosexuals, among these and many other literalist laws singled out for enforcement? Lobster anyone?

Why isn't this being covered by EVERYBODY and roundly denounced, BY ALL THE MEDIA, LEFT OR RIGHT. That is just sick and sad, and shows how desperate they are, because once a new Democrat is in the White House the extent of all Bush's lies and undercutting of the Constitution will be unveiled.

I've never seen such blatant stirring or racial hatred or national fears. Why is this being covered by MSM? Why is there no law enforcement intervention when people yell out threats to off a national politicla candidate? I never liked McCain Palin because of their politics. Now they scare me for the kinds of human beings they must be. To hear these cries (and if the microphones pick it up, they can hear it) and do nothing. To encourage it. God help us if they win.

The only hard facts that have come out so far are the $200 contribution by Ayers to the Obama re-election fund, and their joint membership of the eight-person Woods Fund Board."
---Washington Post: Fact Checker 02/2008--.

"This whole connection is a stretch," Harrington told me. "Barack was very well known in Chicago, and a highly respected legislator. It would be difficult to find people round here who never volunteered or contributed money to one of his campaigns."
---Washington Post: Fact Checker 02/2008--

"He and Mr. Obama served together on the nine-member board of the Woods Fund, a Chicago nonprofit, for three years beginning in 1999, and they have also appeared jointly on two academic panels, one in 1997 and another in 2001."
--- The New York Sun 02/2008---

"Those are pretty slender ties to a controversial figure," the dean of Baruch College's School of Public Affairs, David Birdsell, said of Mr. Obama's links to Mr. Ayers. But it he said that may not matter if Mr. Obama is the nominee in a general election. "Will the GOP pick that up in the campaign? Sure," he said."

Guilt by Association?

The Woods Fund happens to be a "poverty fighting non-profit" based in Illinois with several OTHER board members who have served over the years... So by this logic of guilt by "association"... are all current and past board members of the Woods Fund "terrorists"... Should they all be hauled off to Gitmo as enemy combatants? Because it you're going to go down this road of accusing anybody who happens to have crossed paths with a terrorist (even of 40 yrs ago while you were still a child!) that is a VERY dangerous path to tread... McCarthyism anyone? Of course, that would presume that the average dimwit lemming who blindly follows these types (and would be the first lighting the torches!) even knows what that means!!!

Talk about "Un-American"... You are right about one thing Palin... he doesn't think like you... nor do I, or any "REAL" American's that I know. If you want to question someone's "Americanism"... let's have a look at your ties to the AIP (Alaska Independence Party) shall we??? Guilt by association you say... then YOU are the "America hater" as evidenced by the speeches of the AIP's founder (which if you are not a member of, have clearly and "strongly" supported, as seen on video tape!!!).

Forget about "glass ceilings" Gov, you should be more concerned about your own "glass house" as the stones you're throwing inevitably come crashing back through your front door!!!

Again, reportedly 17 Chinese muslims who were held at Gitmo for 7 years, a judge has ruled that there is NO EVIDENCE that these people are/were enemy combatants!!! IMO, that's terrorism! A republican administration would imprison people and deny them their rights to speedy trials ... habeas corpus tossed in the waste bin.... that's the kind of America a Mc administration would continue!!!
