Palin Watches Debate From N.C. Pizzeria: "Yes!"

The Alaska governor arrived at Boli's on the Boulevard here in Greenville about ten minutes before 9 p.m. She had changed from her suit and high heels into jeans, an Eastern Carolina purple windbreaker and brown shoes. She shook hands and posed for pictures for about ten minutes. She then sat down at a table with N.C. Republican Sen. Richard Burr, his wife, former senator Bob Dole and the mayor of Charlotte. She dined on pizza and spaghetti.

During the debate, when McCain spoke, Palin exclaimed "yes" when he answered a bailout question by talking about energy independence. She had a pen and paper out and occasionally took notes, but mostly either watched the screen or typed on her mobile phone.

I do find it odd though that during both of McCain's events, they have not had her spinning the message in front of TV Cameras, but in a restaurant. Odd, indeed.

AMEN! That was my first reaction. I only have one child, but my life revolves around her and my husband. It's almost as Cheney Spi ce treats her children as accessories to wear on certain occasions. And, yes, I absolutely would be saying this about a man in a bar who had five children, one a special needs infant, cooped up in a hotel with their mother. I would never think to do that to my husband! The amount of disregard and disrespect she shows her family is astounding. As my ten-year-old said today, how can we trust this woman to take care of our family when she won't take care of her own?
