The View

On Tuesday's "The View," the ladies followed up on a conversation/argument yesterday, in which Elisabeth Hasselbeck pushed Obama's radical views. Today, with Joy back, it was Elisabeth v. the other four as she continued to bring up and slam what she feels are Obama's shady acquaintances.

Preceding the clip below, Barbara called for a move away from gutter politics towards a discussion of what really matters. Elisabeth then kept talking about Obama's connection to Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko, called Wright a "hate-monger" and asked of Obama, "Are you a liar or do you have poor judgment?"

Soon after, Sherri jumped down Elisabeth's throat (as she sat expressionless) asking about McCain's first wife with, "can we talk about poor judgement?"

The argument escalated and Joy (celebrating her birthday today) pretended to get up and leave.

Elisabeth interjected, "When did this get personal? Wow. This is super personal," and she told Sherri to "relax."

Barbara again asked to no avail, "Can we stop slinging mud around?"

Elisabeth then brought up Obama and claimed Democrats pushed subprime loans, to which Joy called out, "You're listening to Sean Hannity too much!" With that, Whoopi quickly took the show to break.

Watch, as no blow-by-blow will do it justice:

Elisabeth needs to be shouted down. She needs to have every bit of McCain's dirty dealings put in her pouty, vacant, face.

From "Survivor" loser to blowing off Walters? Who does she know? What has she done to get where she is? Why doesn't she just quit and fill in for hate radio shock jocks? She could be all GOP drivel... all the time.

1. Barbara should give Elizabeth a drudging. She tells her to move on and she keeps on yapping. Or better yet, she should fire her. She is too inexperienced to listen to the likes of Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh. It turns your mind to mush when you listen to them day after day. I know a few people like her.

2. She could also make Elizabeth attend classes given by someone with a knowledge of history of this country, what makes a President great, how to tell the truth from a lie (research is a good answer)what the constitution stands for, how to be polite, manners, In other words she needs to gain maturity, gentleness, and wisdom. To sum it up she needs to grow up.

But Barbara tolerates too much insubordination from her.

Would someone please point out to Elisabeth that Jesus had a long standing relationship with Mary Magdelene. Is the issue that of non-repentance?

When people like Hasselback advocate something, polite people pretend to listen while considering other things, taking their response cue from the cessation of noise on her end. The proper response to anything EH says that takes longer than five or six seconds is, "I see."

David Hasselhoff moved more votes this year than Elizabeth Hasselback.

It's infuriating listening to lies, insinuations, fabrications, propaganda being mouthed by EHasselback on behalf of party overlords. She no doubt believes the rhetoric, as does the segment of the population SarahPalin appeals to. In the 1990s we started believing that there are two sides to every story, that opposing points of view should be given equal time, that any point must have a counterpoint aired, no matter how ridiculous it might be. IMO, that is how the right now manages to win elections: playing on people's ignorance/fears, putting things out there for debate they know are not true andrepeatingthem, andrepeatingthem, andrepeatingthem until they have become part of the public discourse and have been granted a cloak of legitimacy. That's how the current administration has ruled for 8years, that is how the right brought down PresClinton, that is what they will continue to do with PresObama to attempt to bring down his administration. ENOUGH!! All points of view are NOT equal. Yet MsH continues every day, and NO ONE will look her in the eye and tell her that the rhetoric she spouts is baseless lies, all in the name of equal opportunity, because she and some of the population believe the propaganda. Those lies are given a legitimate platform, a sense of respect from the other women on The View which they do not deserve. I won't legitimize them any further by continuing to tune in and listen to MsH’s nonsense being accepted as a legitimate point of view.

I think Prez Clinton brought his legacy down himself. There was a time when both sides were given but it should only be PROVEN facts that our NEWS gives and that stopped back when Clinton was Prez. The news orgs showed their true colors and still do today. No longer are just proven facts given - opinions are.

The view is an entertainment show - nothing more.

True enough. But there are a large number of people out there that don't understand that...and feel that poor Lizzie is being made a victim. And she plays her role well. Wonder if she is Sarah's secret pal or is just tryiing to get Greta's job?

But she gets far more airtime than she deserves. Kind of like Moosegirl without glasses, but appearing so sincere that she can fly under the radar.

Elizabeth is just spreading the word for McCain. Did you guys really think she would do otherwise? Joy has her way of digging McCain every chance she gets, and I know elizabeth can see the writting on the wall for McCain, so of course she is going to tow the party line. The best thing that the others can do is just let her babble and move on. the more she talks about Ayers ect. the more she gets her point across Nothing scares a republican more than a dem in the white house cuz they know the dems will make them look bad by comparison.

*** WATCH Sarah Palin admit that Obama’s message was “ RESONATING WELL ” with AlaskanS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO6dmBm1SFw&NR=1

This was right before she was picked as McCain’s VP!

She had no problems with Obama before being picked.

Hassleback, like many other conservatives of a similar breed as she is, just have WAAAAY TOO MUCH FEAR in their hearts and minds.

They do FEAR things they don't fully understand, and once that fear sets in there is little chance that they will be able to catch their breath and think with reason.

Fear does remove logic and reason from your thoughts, it's part of the fight or flight mechanism that is built into all of us. So, the more fearful you are of things, the less contemplative you will be.

She is afraid, very afraid. But not for the right reasons. Her fears don't make sense or add up to the truth and yet she is failing to see what we see so easily (or after some careful consideration). If she was really taking the time to understand this situation she would want to know more about McCain's much darker and much more REAL misdeeds and connections. But since she is only willing to believe what she wants to believe (like so many others that sympathize with her) there is little doubt in my mind that she will always be afraid of Obama.

The real problem that I have with all of this FEAR crap is that it's is being perpetuated by a man who claims to be an honorable man EVERYDAY!!! If that's the kind of leadership he claims is honorable, then he can keep his hate clan and go to hell with them.

She reminds me a little of Dana Perino, the press person for Bush, who when asked if Bush would consider extending unemployment benefits to long term unemployed answered "we prefer that they got jobs" (presumbably that they might prefer being unemployed to working). Same blonde brainpower. Both cute, both empty.

Fear? Are you serious of what? The very differences in what the 2 parties stand for is what seperates us, nothing more nothing less. The 2 parties will always be polar opposites, it doens't matter who is running for Prez. It doesn't matter who represents Dems or Repubs - it is what the parties stand for and who cares if she is a Repub, it is the Dems that watch the show that get so hot and bothered by her - she's a survivor cast off - who cares?

Wow when did Sherri grow a brain?

Sherri is a very intelligent, bright woman. She knows how to carry herself. She finally got tired of Elisabeth's scare tactics and felt forced to step in. Go Sherri! I hope Elisabeth is let go from "The View" and very soon. As I've heard others say, her 15 mintes of "shame" are up!

Only one person was given the opportunitty to air her "View" of things. When anyone else talked they were constantly interrupted. And when someone wanted to say something about McCain, Walters said it was "mudslinging". Only certain people appear to have their view represented on this and mostl MSM

If you think that there's anyone on The View that doesn't get ample opportunity to express an opinion, you're sadly mistaken. This particular daily segment is a verbal free-for-all anyway, and it's very true to the real world in at least one respect - if you're sitting with a group of 4 or 5 people and are the "odd man out" with your opinion, you're going to be talked over. This is especially true if you can't back up your opinions with actual facts but resort only to disproven talking points.

I think the lady's are actually blindsided by Elizabeth's rants against Obama. If they knew she would be following these lines of attacks i'm sure they'd do some research and dig further into McCain's murky past. Notice that Elizabeth has notes on what it is she wants to say and while she is a very beautiful and intelligent woman, she is unable to see what everyone else sees. The moment folks start thinking its their moral obligation to defend or attack someone they lose the ability to discern logic and emotion.

This woman is not beautiful and intelligent. Hate and mudslinging does not equal beautiful and intelligent. Rosie must be laughing in the sidelines.

Fire that worthless piece of merde.

Look, unfortunately the need Hasselbeck to be relevant and interesting. I do think Sherri is getting increasing more hostile which is a good thing, also she seems much more intelligent recently. Hasselbeck is probably destined to host some Fox News show but for the time-being Ms. Walters will pay her whatever she wants in reason to keep those right-wing talking points in the conversation. You have to respect her a bit though because its really at least 3 vs 1. The bad thing is Haseelbeck is not officially paid by the campaign and a lot of the stuff she throws out there I do not think she honestly feels is right. I hope she teaches her kids not to be ignorant and hate like her party is obviously doing with Obama.

Hostility is a good thing? Ssheshh its an entertainment show and your glad Sherri is getting more hostile? Yeah lets "report" on politics and then segway into hot shoes for the fall.

Nuts.
