I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Joe Biden lashed out at Sarah Palin on Wednesday, calling her recent rhetoric "ugly" and "mildly dangerous," and expressing shock that the Alaska Governor did not interrupt recent rallies when supporters shouted hateful attacks about Barack Obama, including "treason!" and "kill him!"

"I watched the news and I heard a couple people hollering from the audience semi-vile things about 'terrorists,' things like that," Biden said on NBC's Today show. "The idea that a leading American politician who might be vice president of the United States would not just stop mid-sentence and turn and condemn that -- it's just a slippery slope, it's a place that we shouldn't be going."

Biden repeated the sentiment on ABC's Good Morning America:

"I think it goes way too far. Look, this really is a case where, when you don't have anything to talk about, attack -- and it gets really over the edge," he said. "I mean, some of the stuff she's saying about Barack Obama and the stuff that people are yelling from the crowd, if she hears it, she should be at least be saying, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's overboard. But this is volatile stuff."

A Secret Service spokesperson said on Tuesday that agents were trying to track down more information about the individual who yelled "kill him" during the Palin event in Clearwater, Fl., on Monday.

Palin accuses Obama of “palling around with terrorists” and someone from her crown shouts “kill him” and she doesn’t get how cynically perverse the whole situation is?

Did you happen to see Olbermann's rant against Palin "pallin around with terrorist"...Look for it on MSNBC, Palin is a HUGE hypocrite.....I also like how Cindy Mccain made the statement "Barack Obama voted against funding my son" (in iraq) but failed to mention that JOHN MCCAIN ALSO VOTED AGAINST FUNDING FOR THE WAR!

They are liars and hypocrites and try to distort the truth but aside from the clueless select (most of which I'd guess were rednecks and religious zealots) most of America isn't even paying attention to their nonsense because THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ANSWERS!!!!!!

The Republican party, as Lincoln forewarned, works by dividing the public, playing on their fears and hatreds. These poor souls are manipulated by the wealth behind the curtain. How else to get them to vote against their own interests? The latest attempt, this recasting of the last eight years as the democrats fault. For all their red herrings and half truths, republicans controlled the Congress from 94'-06' and the WH 2000- 06'.

" I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country; corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption in High Places will follow, and the Money Power of the Country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the People, until the wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the Republic is destroyed. I feel at this moment more anxiety for the safety of my country than ever before, even in the midst of war "

That is interesting quote. I attached a link to banking and which includes what the National Banking Act of 1863 was and the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913.

A timely reminder that Abraham Lincoln was truly a great man. Let's hope we can get that other guy from Illinois in.

Except for her inexperience, Palin seems like a kind of budding counterpart to a man Gordon Brown just brought back from Europe, he was serving there as an EU minister of finance. Peter Mandleson. He is sometimes referred to as the Prince of D a r k n e s s. As a master of the political b l a c k arts. Again, she has zero political experience compared to him (compared to anyone, really). But she shares his power over a crowd. He can w h i p a crowd into a frenzy; he is partial, at times, to incendiary language; and he is one of the most loathed (former) ministers in the UK.

He and Gordon Brown despise each other, Mandleson was a pet of Tony Blair's and when Mandleson chose Blair to run as leader of the Labor Party, over Brown, the gloves came off. But Brown needs him now, for several reasons, one of them as an a t t a c k d o g to b e a t down those Labor ministers who have been plotting against Brown.

She would be a great a t ta c k d o g. All teeth. Or as she puts it: a p i t b u l l in l i p s t i c k, a heels on, gloves off kind of gal, doggone it and G o d bless 'er.

C'mon, Joe! Don't pull your punches. Seriously, why just accuse Pa*in of only saying "semi-vile" things when they are truly vile. Don't say that her venomous and deceitful hate-speech is "mildly dangerous" when it is obvious they are priming the hardcore rabid believers to pick up their torches and pitchforks and start looking for someone to use as a pincushion piñata. Please, please, please don't soften your criticism of these bigots that mascarade as politicians at the head of the GOP. They are desperate and like most people know, a wounded and cornered animal is a dangerous thing. Turn the bright lights on them for their dispicable behavior and total lack of any sense of morals or decency. We can't vote these idiots off the public stage fast enough to get their dark and evil nature out of all of our lives for now. Just wait a little bit and they'll be back, but let's vote for "That One" to show them we will not be pushed into the shadows of fear and bigotry.

I agree that he should have been more forceful, he didn't go far enough. This isn't about just some snide remark Palin might have made, it's about inciting hatred, as some posters have said. Possibly inciting worse. What I think is that security should step in and give her what for.

What's in a name? Well according to the McCain/Palin Klan, alot. Since they don't seem to have a problem trying to like Obama's middle name with a terrorists/dictator who just so happened to have the same name (what are the odds?), I thought I'd start looking into names too.
John Wilkes Booth- assassinated Lincoln
John Hinkley- attempted to assassinate Reagan
John Wayne Gacy- pedophile/serial killer
John Christie- serial killer in London with his wife Ethel
John Bellingham- assassinated British P.M. Spencer Perceval
John Felton- assassinated George Villiers (1st Duke of Buckingham)
and if my poll numbers are sinking....
Jack the Ripper
Jack Ruby

I'm sorry, but the political geek in me has been flaring up lately and I'm out of ointment. But read the names. Coincidence that they're all named "John"? I THINK NOT! KILLER!

When you see the group of Palin supporters at the rally in Ohio (someone posted the link here and it's at Dailykos), you then realize it is really ridiculous to respond to any of the Palin supporters here.

They really are trashy type people. Ignoramuses.

Here's the link to the Palin rally in Ohio. Seeing this makes one rethink responding to any Palin supporter posting here. It's such a waste and downer to do so. You are just sinking way too low.

It's sorta akin to the characters in the movie Deliverance -- you wouldn't deal with those characters in that movie, would you?

The most mind boggling thing about McCain and Palin's actions [or inaction as the case may be], is that it helps make the Secret Services job that much more difficult. Regardless of who is elected, the Secret Service have the monumental task of protecting that person from harm. Vilifying your opponent in the face of an intolerant crowd obviously doesn't help make the Secret Services' job any easier and both candidates "should" be chastised for it. Not just by Democrats, but their own party as well. It's things like this [amongst others] that justifies every reason why both John McCain and Sarah Palin are beneath the dignity of the offices to which they aspire and don't deserve the public's trust. This just adds evidence to the list of why they are eminently unqualified to serve. I wonder what John McCain's father and grandfather would say about all of this. Disgusting.

Are you expecting Gov. Palin to show some decency? Don’t bet on it as this is a woman couldn’t even spell decency if you gave her the first six (6) letters…Trooper-Gate comes out soon and watch the media jump all over that and it’s over for her….
