Cindy

Cindy McCain, who has largely remained soft-spoken and optimistic during public appearances on her husband's behalf, has joined the attack dogs of the McCain campaign in recent days.

Just as McCain and Sarah Palin and prominent GOP supporters like Rudy Giuliani have stepped up their negative attacks on Obama this week, Cindy McCain took "one of her most personal shots yet at Barack Obama today" during a rally in Pennsylvania.

"The day that Sen. Obama cast a vote to not to fund my son when he was serving sent a cold chill through my body let me tell you," Cindy McCain said in introducing the GOP ticket. "I would suggest Sen. Obama change shoes with me for just one day. I suggest he take a day and go watch our men and women deploying."

In general, the McCains have avoided discussing their two sons' military service during the campaign. Younger son Jimmy McCain is a Marine who has already served a tour in Iraq. His brother, Jack, is at Annapolis.

Palin later invoked her own son's service overseas in suggesting that Obama did not understand the cost of war, comparing him unfavorably to McCain and his military heroism during Vietnam.

"God bless him, he spent five and a half years as a POW, and he knows the cost of war because he paid those costs himself," she said of McCain. "And as a mother of one of those troops, yup, that's exactly the kind of man I want as commander in chief."

And yesterday, Mrs. McCain made waves and stunned political observers when she stridently claimed that Obama had waged "the dirtiest campaign in American history."

Her newfound aggressiveness is obviously sanctioned by the campaign - a McCain aide said last night that the Republican nominee "wholeheartedly agrees with his wife's assessment."

This was most unbecoming of a Presidential candidates wife. I've never seen anything like it. The seething comtempt and hatred she evoked make her ugly and unthinkable as a first lady in the White House.

Maybe Cindy McCain should spend less time pulling together her $300,000 dollar outfits and more time reading about 'Depleted Uranium' . Yes Cindy, let me give you a heads up on it since your sons will probably not be forewarned about it, the military counts on ignorance and arrogance. Depleted uranium is a toxic dust that is blowing in the wind, due to the illegal deployment of these weapons of mass destruction by the US, British and Israeli militaries. Iraq is a hot spot. It will alter the genetic code of those exposed. Just google depleted uranium babies to see what your future grandchildren might look like. My prayers for all the innocent people!

How chilled was Cindy when Johnny McDrama voted against military funding? Pathetic hypocrites! Just what McCain needed, another lipsticked junkyard dog.

Hey Cindy, how did you feel when John voted against funding the troops? You want to put him in your shoes? He would look good in heels; if you couild get them out your mouth.

Our young troops and familys have held their end of the deal. They are the true American heros! Please don't speak for them. Your husband and you are not worthly of such. Support our troops and godspeed for them and their loved ones. Obama/Biden 08"

Poor Cindy. On November 5th (God willing) we will all be able to get on with our lives with a renewed hope for the future that Barack Obama will bring us. But Cindy, she still has to live with that bitter, mean, hateful, power monger...you know, John McCain, "that one!"

I think it was very telling that she only talked about "my son." I was expecting her to broaden that to something like all or sons and daughters who are in harms way. But she didn't. And the "change shoes with me" thing was just wacky. One usually says "walk in my shoes" but I guess she was thinking they were shopping together at Nordstroms. She is no better than Palin...they are both ditzy broads and unfortunately advance the stereotypes about women.

McCain voted against the same bill. She's desperate. Nobody cares more about our military familys than Obaman and Michelle. And as far as the voting record for military on McCain's score card he got a D grade. Obama got a B. So Cindy McCain why don't you walk in the solders shoes and familys. McCain failed the test! Bottom line. I wouldn't trust Cindy McCain's so called hero husband anything but a man of dishonor when it comes to military issues. Go home and buy yourself a new pair of shoes-- "because we are not buying it"

The fact that Cindy McCain is acting holier than thou sends a chill up my spine. Continued Keating relationship shouldn't surprise anyone. Nothing these folks do should surprise anyone. Clearly they have no idea what ethical behavior should be.

Oh just you wait...I have no doubt they have plenty more zingers planned for Cindy to say. And, I have no doubt she'll say each and every one of them with Acadamy Award winning passion. After all, it's her husband's last chance at becoming President. This is good practice for ol' Cinnie to do a tour of the mud-wrestling circuit after her husband loses.

That picture is not very flattering and her statement accusing Obama of the dirtiest campaign, blah, blah is ludicrous. Makes her look like a crazed out of control woman. I guess if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck, it is a duck.

The comment itself was foolishness, but it offered a good insight into the REAL Cindy McCain. She showed the world what a seething, bitter, self-absorbed First Lady she would really be. Her two cents may have in some way been steered by the RNC or the McCain campaign, but what I think was really at play for Cindy was the vision of her losing her one and only shot at being the First Lady of the United States of America. You talk about 'out-of-touch', Cindy is arguably the most out-of-touch of the lot.

Cindy McCain appears to be under some type of drugs.... I will give her a pass. This woman probably doesn't know the day of the week.
