"My Fellow Prisoners," McCain Calls Americans

After referring to the various proposals that comprise his domestic policy agenda, John McCain offered an absolute head-scratcher of a line during a campaign speech on Wednesday.

"Across this country this is the agenda I have set before my fellow prisoners," he declared. In the prepared remarks he was supposed to say "fellow citizens."

McCain didn't skip a beat, lambasting Obama for, of all things, being "less clear" about his vision for the country. "The same standards of clarity and candor must now be applied to my opponent," he declared.

The remark came during the Senator's campaign stop in Pennsylvania in what was already a controversial appearance. An hour before McCain took the stage, an introductory speaker revved up the crowd by referring to Barack "Hussein" Obama twice. McCain's campaign has distanced themselves from the remark.

I don't want to be disrespectful to everyone else's opinion, uhmm, I think that was(mccain's) just a simple misstatement that is well, frankly, a minor demeanor compared to that of Joe Biden who threw a slew of amazingly ignored "misstatements". Don't get me wrong, I already voted for Obama last week, but I do not think it is right to take offense or be offensive to what a presidential candidate wrongfully said. Come on guys? Were better than that...let us not go beneath the bush lovers level. hehehe...peace!

That line really shook me up a little. Combine that with what others have said about his body language and you sort of have to wonder where or when exactly he is living.

When you become a prisoner of war you give only your Name Rank, Serial Number and Date of Birth.. Not: Name, Rank, Serial Number, and now lets go make some propaganda films.

The worse thing that a POW heard in North Viet Nam, was, first thing in the Morning: "My fellow prisoners trust me the Vietnamese are not our enemy it is the American Government that is the criminal. If you cooperate you will get fare treatment.

If any of you Vets out there heard John McCain address to his audience "My Fellow prisoners" know what John experienced, it is called a Flash Back. We do not need a President that experiences Flash Backs. Especially when he his near the Nuclear Button.

This mis-statement,on top of the "McCain Wander" in the debate Tues, should be proof positive that the man is incompetent, for whatever reasons. I wondered if he was looking for the bathroom? Or did he think he was in a prison cell, not on a stage? Maybe that's why he called his rally audience "My Fellow Prisoners."

It seems to me that there are far fewer trolls on Huffpo these days. What happened to them? I don't really care, just glad they found other hobbies, anyway.

Maybe he just feels he is the prisoner of all his lies, of all those people who actually believe his lies, and of all those who instigate and perpetuate his lies. He may indeed still be a prisoner but this time one of his own making.

This is why we are voting on election day, we don't want to be republicant prisoners anymore. The country will be paroled on Nov 4, 2008. We can send Warden McCain packing for Arizona.

It sure sounded like McCain said it on purpose. Could it be kind of like one of those dog whistle calls to the base? (Imprisoned Christian soldiers??) Or just another reminder that he was a POW?

This is an hones statement from McCain. He is trying to make Americans prisoner of his and Palin's hate.
