"My Fellow Prisoners," McCain Calls Americans

After referring to the various proposals that comprise his domestic policy agenda, John McCain offered an absolute head-scratcher of a line during a campaign speech on Wednesday.

"Across this country this is the agenda I have set before my fellow prisoners," he declared. In the prepared remarks he was supposed to say "fellow citizens."

McCain didn't skip a beat, lambasting Obama for, of all things, being "less clear" about his vision for the country. "The same standards of clarity and candor must now be applied to my opponent," he declared.

The remark came during the Senator's campaign stop in Pennsylvania in what was already a controversial appearance. An hour before McCain took the stage, an introductory speaker revved up the crowd by referring to Barack "Hussein" Obama twice. McCain's campaign has distanced themselves from the remark.

Time has told...if you have been watching..­he has been declining steadily since June/July. At first I thought he is tired, but since early September he is showing more and more signs of serious illness..t­hey seemed to have fixed the drooping left eye...but if you watch McCain during interviews the actual eye does not always track with his right eye...

Actually, McCain, from a psychological standpoint, is very close to blowing up. That he said, "My fellow Prisoners" shows he is none too stable. Can you imagine this guy meeting some foreign head of state and making that sort of error. McCain is so close to imploding that I worry for his stability. He has this horrible, fire-hot temper and he could truly screw up any meeting he had as president. He is a ticking bomb from a psychological stand point and his trigger temper should worry us all.

This is serious - the man has post traumatic stress disorder and this is no slip of the tongue. It's a sign that his mental condition is deteriorating. He is cracking under the strain and this may only be the beginning. Huffpost should get some psychiatrists to weigh in on this, and not bury it at the bottom of a long webpage. I'm a neuroscientist and I have studied PTSD.
