I Like ItI Don’t Like It
After not attacking Obama in last night's debate as forcefully as his campaign had in previous days, McCain was back on the offensive today at a rally at Lehigh University with his running mate Sarah Palin.

As seen at recent McCain events, this afternoon's crowd was vocal in their support for McCain and their anger with Senator Obama. At one point one man could be heard yelling, "Off with his head," when McCain spoke about Obama's tax plan. That enthusiasm was even more present during Palin's remarks, and as other observers have reported in the past, today there was a sizeable number of people making their way towards the exit after McCain's running mate left the podium.

The incident follows previous outbursts at McCain-Palin rallies this week.

Yesterday, a member of the crowd at a Palin rally in Jacksonville, Florida yelled "treason!" after Palin accused Obama of criticizing U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

And on Monday, a supporter shouted "Kill him!" when Sarah Palin started attacking Obama's association with William Ayers at a rally in Clearwater, Florida.

Sounds to me like some of the venues need to cancel these upcoming engagements until the candidates start acknowledging and denouncing these thugs. I'm surprised Lehigh University allowed this rally on their property considering the menacing tone of some of the Palin McCain supporters at previous rallies.

The Obama campaign must proclaim every day that McCain is running a thoroughly cowardly and dishonorable campaign.

McCain loves to talk about how his whole life is about honor, as in duty, honor, country!

He has betrayed that sentiment many times in the past and now again in this Presidential campaign.

Obama/ Biden 08!

If this was any one else, the "rally" would be shut down. Doesn't the MSM see the hypocrisy in the 'law and order' party holding rallies that are anything but?

WHen Obama came to Chesapeake, Va., I volunteered at his town hall/rally. We were briefed that the hate language cannot be tolerated, and to let Secret Service know if anyone was shouting obscenities and hate rhetoric against McCain, or anyone else. It remained peaceful, and our enthusiasm for the message and the candidate was what was important. These meetings are 180 degrees out from the McCain/Palin rallies - you might be able to find a couple of minorities. Obama meetings encompass all kinds of folks, and you did not have Blacks screaming racist epithets and calling for McCain and Palin's heads.

How about we start urging the news media to cover them but not show any of this anymore? That in the interest of not contributing to the incitement of unbalanced people watching their broadcast they will no longer show this. They can say due to the content of the speech they do not think it should be shown. They could say, also, they do not want to be responsible in even the most remote way of contributing to spurring a person to commit a violent act. On the other hand, though, should these scenes be shown to expose what vile people they are? I just wish the media wouldn't show them over and over again. Maybe only when absolutely necessary.

The rallies need to stop until they can be investigated or brought under control. This is ridiculous! It sounds like the beginning of Empire building and fascism.

This is the most un-American thing I've ever heard of.

We are all witnessing the true message of the GOP and their constituents - hatred, fear, intolerance, and now violence. This is why they will lose.

I certainly hope the Secret Service is investigating every one of these incidents. SHAME on McCain and Palin. They are disgusting.

Seems as if there are 'terrorist' in the McCain-Palin rallies. And with the hate speech, they are inciting violence against an American citizen, one who is a United States Senator.

Hmmm,

Obama-Biden
"that one - that other one"

To continue with this nonsense on the campaign trail and to trot out your wife to do the same, while not being 'man' enough to say these things to Sen. Obama's face at the debate last night, strikes me as rather cowardly of John McCain.

I wasn't even going to bring this up. But many times senior citizens (I am one too) say "that one" when they momentarily forget a persons' name. My father-in-law did this in the early stages of Alzheimers. Also, Campbell Brown on CNN mentioned tonight that she can remember her "grandfather" doing this. She wasn't suggesting his age was responsible, but it was striking the way she related it to her grandfather without connecting it to his age. The thrust of Campbell Brown's argument was that he just did it by accident and that it had no malicious intent. I also believe he wasn't being cold or mean, I really think he just had a "senior" moment.

Talk about "home-grown terrorists"- they're being incubated and grown at Palin-McCain rallies. They're beginning to sound like lynchings, or out-of-control mob scenes in a horror movie.

No wonder Palin and their "mob" scares me so much.

So if the secret service is investigating these cases, shouldn't they halt future Mc-Cain rallies until they can get to the bottom of it? Or shouldn't someone be asking Mc-Cain to repudiate this stuff? Not one time has anyone in the media or anyone else asked Mc-Cain or P-alin if they approve of this sort of talk. Or asked them if they think that inciting this sort of thing is helping them?

Someone call them out already.
