The Daily Show Mocks Cubs Fans (WATCH)

The Daily Show delivered a stinging sendup of Cubs fans Tuesday night.

In a segment on the disproportionate impact of "Stupid Voters" on the presidential election, John Oliver included Cubs fans among the group, alongside "People Who Lose Arguments to Babies," "Tiger Petters," and the "Voluntarily Lobotomized."

Cubs fans, Oliver said, "had 100 years to figure out that what they want will never happen and yet they still yearn for it."

Jon Stewart: "That is stupid."

Oliver: "Yes, very stupid."

Stewart: "Because the Cubs will never win."

Oliver: "That's right, Jon. The Chicago Cubs will never, ever win the World Series."

Stewart also said that Cubs fans have "made God angry."

Okay < I spent ten days with my family on the south side of chicagoin august.
The folks took the game and the cubs so seriously that that is all anyone could talk about ! They/it had a stepford wives quality and feeling to my experience.I Love sports but wow these people can't do anything else and it showed , because they could not talk nice about anythingbut the cubs.The cubs are defiently their God.This way they did not have to think about anything else.I felt kinda sorry for them.

This breakup of the Indies was actually very humorous to me, as I have been working at Democratic registration tables almost daily for the past month and the independent voters on my college campus fit the "Slightly less than perfect" stereotype imposed by Oliver.

I mean, if you are right in the middle and you have not noticed the recent lack of gentry and class in John McCain, look harder! It's even on Fox News.
