I Like ItI Don’t Like It

File this one under the "give 'em enough rope" column. A pro-Obama blogger in Ohio caught McCain-Palin supporters as they streamed into a rally and asked some of the most salient questions of the day. Like, "is Obama a terrorist?"

Check out the responses:

UPDATE: Another video filmed outside a McCain event in Pennsylvania:

The one guy said this financial crisis was Obama's fault. This crowd loves Bush, Cheney, they won't fault them for anything. Almost like the last eight years didn't even happen. Geez

What some of these people were saying was disgusting, I can't believe people actually believe that Obama is a Muslim or a terrorist. Just because his name is spelled or pronounced similarly to "Osama" does not deem him as a terrorist. Obama was born in Hawaii (thus making him an American citizen) and his father is from Kenya - not the middle east. He lived in Indonesia & Hawaii as a child, and then moved to LA and NYC for college.

Oh and for all those people shouting at the McCain-Palin protesters to "get a job", how can they assume that those people aren't employed? Who are they to make those accusations?

I'm not against McCain-Palin supporters - I'm against people making uneducated decisions. I may not agree McCain's policies, but I'll gladly respect someone who does support McCain if they have educated, valid arguments for as to why they support him.

Whether an Obama or a McCain fan, at least do some research to make an intelligent decision - rather than give in to propaganda.

It's great to see so many people taking an active interest in the outcome of this Presidential race. The McCain camp doesn't seem to realize what a disservice they are doing to their cause. Obama will win, polls and posts all agree. McCain and Palin are giving us strength. With every negative campaign ad and rally of hate they lose supporters. Obama is cool, calm and sure of himself and his country. He is a favorite among our people and Governments overseas. He has the backing to do great things for our country.
This hate-mongering campaign of lies and deception from the Republicans is easily seen through by any American with half a brain. Where, Mr. McCain, are your facts? Where are your plans for the future? Answer the questions, show the people where you stand on the issues! If Obama was a terrorist don't you think the FBI would know about it by now? This is the race for the PRESIDENCY people! Background checks are not optional. Focus on your campaign, republicans. You are running scared because you are losing, by a landslide, to someone who has the right stuff to make our country great again.
Obama, stick to your guns man. Continue to run with the truth and facts, most of all with class. Don't go negative, you are above that. I'm looking forward to Obama/Biden '08! Americans deserve a better future.

"This hate-mongering campaign of lies and deception from the Republicans is easily seen through by any American with half a brain. "

So what happened in 2004? Have Americans grown brains since then?

The media is a core problem. Yes, many people have begun to really pay attention, so they've grown more educated if not actual brains...

Terrorism is "in his bloodline...look at his name"?
How about this one:
Timothy McVey -- Oklahoma City Bombing -- convicted and executed.
Where does this leave John McCain with regard to his "bloodline" and his "name"?

Why these people have so much hatred? What is wrong with them? They should be happy, they have had 8 years of Bush economy policies. What do they want?

Eight years of Rovian rule has emboldened and mainstreamed these freaks, we can only hope that Obama wins in November and these nut jobs slither back to the fringe where they belong.

To those who don't live in America this is really scary. People outside America couldn't figure how George Bush won a second term as President. Well you only have to listen to some of the totally deluded comments made by these people to see why.

If You live outside of America, all you get is Fox news, and a couple of hours of CNN(U.S).

Listening to these comments proves all along what I've always said about conservative politics; that is, never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

The Obama team must counter this deliberate mis-information or he'll end up like John Kerry, a glorious loser.

Be careful about generalizing "outside America" as a monolithic sphere. We marched in the Budapest gay pride this past July, where the marchers were outnumbered by a violent, dangerous mob and literally hundreds of riot police. Sadly, there are plenty of hard-right idiots in the world, especially in Europe. Don't make this sound like an especially American problem.

Believe me, this is even scarier to people living in this country. I and many other Americans now live in humiliation because of these people.I never would have believed that this kind of Stupidity and hatred would ever become so emboldened again as it has in the last eight years.

The woman’s comment; “He’s got the blood lines – look at his name...."

If she has a German or Italian name/blood lines, does that mean she’s a fascist/Nazi?

Does the same apply to a person(s) of Russian, Serbian, Japanese, and Cambodian… descent? Does that make these descendants murdering terrorists too, like dictatorial regimes that have or do control countries worldwide?

Just a thought!

EXACTLY!!! the woman in the crowd's comment about blood lines is soooooooooo IGNORANT and embarrassing. she really needs to find another argument because that one definitely makes her look like an idiot.

I heard a woman caller yesterday on KGO (San Francisco) radio, who said she was UNDECIDED, saying Obama's bloodline was 4.3% arabic, so it proves he is a terrorist. The host promptly said she WASN'T undecided and quickly cut her off. Until then I didn't believe that there were folks out there truly nutty like this. I guess my head was in the sand...

Yeah, and why do the Obama protesters need to get a job, but not the McCain/Palin acolytes? What are they doing in the line at midday? Why don't THEY get a job. Oh, right, jobs are for the little people.

Now we see why most black people are smart enough to not vote republican. If John McCain got elected these hate mongering racist would get exactly what they deserve. This is nothing new. This type of hatred has been the core of the republican party for decades.

It appears that half of America has switched off their brains or maybe had chips planted in their brains that spout illogical propaganda. Obama is a terrorist? Guilt by association seems to be the latest in the Rove playbook. C'mon. WAKE UP!

Why?
Because they are bushclones.

As a former member of this "fundamentalist cult", most of you are correct - they are full of hate, extremism, and they are very scary. Just think about it, they know the future! They are arrogant and believe they are "better than" anyone who does not believe as they do. However, you miss the most important point - THERE ARE MILLIONS OF THESE PEOPLE IN THE US. OUR GOVERNMENT IS RUN BY THESE PEOPLE. THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO VOTE IN JOHN MCCAIN/SARAH PALIN.
Consider, for a moment, that McCain becomes President, dies within the first 2 - 4 years and Palin becomes President. America has then perfected Imperialism - we have put a dictator in as President with an election! Palin establishes martial order - end of democracy.
I'm serious, folks......
