Angelina Breastfeeding: Pitt's Private Photo And A New Interview

Brad Pitt's long-awaited photos of Angelina Jolie for W , shot in August, are finally coming out. Today the cover, featuring Jolie breastfeeding one of the new twins Knox and Vivienne is out. The whole thing hits newsstands next week and was shot at the house the couple and their six kids have leased in France, Chateau Miraval.

The black and white cover of the November 2008 issue is below. Here are some excerpts:

On Brad changing her mind about giving birth to her own children: "I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do... I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to (getting pregnant). I suddenly wanted to. It's one of those things you can't explain."

On Brad seeing adopted children Maddox and Zahara: "I knew that he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace."

On having three children with Brad: "I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. It taught me a lot about life, just the process of it, and now we have three other beautiful children that wouldn't otherwise be here."

On baring her body for the intimate W pics taken by Brad just weeks after the twins' birth: "I'm with a man who's evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful, because of the journey it has taken and what it has created. He genuinely sees it that way. So I genuinely feel even sexier."

On Brad being perfect for her: "[I have] a lot of respect [for Brad. He helps me] to be better and fight hard for the things that I love. I do think that I'm in a good partnership now. I think it just needed to be the right man."

The pictures are beautiful, the children are beautiful, brad is beautiful, etc. It's a shame they did not start their relationship in a beautiful way. When you do good deeds or give it should be done in private if possible because it should be from the heart and not for publicity. These people are always saying how much they give and how much time they give - do they want publicity - I think so.

Something I didn't see anyone say (yet, I didn't read all the posts, so I could be wrong) is that these are beautiful photos from an artistic point of view.

The one I thought was really stunning is the woman and boy (I assume Mrs. Brad and son?) enjoying a laugh. The light is really well done and the air between them bathed with warmth.

I don't care who these people are really or what they or their poses represent. I do think this photographer shows a lot of promise.

Maybe that is all Brad Pitt was trying to show with these photos. "Hey look. I took these beautiful pictures of some people I love."

Why would anyone besmirch that? Artistic photos of the photographer's wife and children.

ok remind me again...they want their privacy and don't want to be photographed or have their children photographed??? You can't have it both ways. BTW they did not shoot this picture to promote breastfeeding. They did this whole photo series to promote themselves and her new movie. Please remember this is Hollywood.

Artists have an exhibitionistic streak
They are human
Humans have a protective and private nature
it is not exactly rocket science
They are beautiful and graceful and I personally very much appreciate what they bring to the table
but I totally respect and understand why others might not feel that

There IS a difference - a VERY BIG difference.

They are "giving" when they show YOU these pictures. It is meant to "share."


The paparazzi TAKE their pictures (impose themselves on the family) without their choice. This family is about CHOICE and respecting that people HAVE choice IF people are CONSIDERATE enough to recognize it.

They are both gorgeous and have a beautiful family, but I find their constant need for attention and publicity very odd. Just my opinion.

sadly in this thread I'm seeing alot of jealous ignorant post, the facts are Brad and Angelina are two of the most beautiful people on the planet and they can aford to have as many children as they see fit. They both do alot of good not because they have to...not for any publicity but because they actually care about the world and people in it. They are celebrities and thus they can acomplish alot because of that fact. They are not perfect but they are beautiful people both inside and out and I think that is just a little to much for some people to handle or grasp.

I think this is a great photo. This is Angelina being a role model as a natural mother in a society that prefers to feed their children formula instead of breastmilk and would rather have c-sections with the use of drugs to natural birthing. I think that it's hilarious that photos of women as sex objects are considered more "acceptable" while she's being mocked for this one. The funny thing is that it's women that are doing most of the mocking. It's okay to exploit our young women and yourself but it isn't okay to have a strong female sharing a sacred, positive aspect of being a woman. She lives her life as an example, not only by adopting several children from third world countries but also as a humanitarian. She has attending numerious political functions such as The World Economic Function and works with refugees through UNHCR. (United Nations HIgh Commissioner for Refuges.) Granted she isn't a lost head case like good ol' unpredictable Brittany but cut her some slack here...

I wonder what is sacred to Angelina. I know she has a movie coming out, so, get herself out there. But, what is sacred, or, just for privacy purposes, just time for her and her baby. Odd. And no I don't mind the photo as much as, there is something off about Angelina. I believe breastfeeding is the healthiest thing a woman can do for her newborn, so, Angelina could have use this photo for a magazine that is gear towards new Moms (promote breastfeeding). Instead, it's just for sells and she has a new movie coming out. Private photos leaked? The Pitt-Jolie have enough money to not to go some pharmacy/photo store--please!

Angelina is brilliant at manipulating the press so she has publicity when she wants and privacy when she wants that, too. That said, I do admire the attention she has called to breastfeeding, which is extremely beneficial to babies in terms of nutrition, bonding with the mother and even in brain development. And I also believe that mothers should be able to nurse in public if discreetly draped and am appalled that mothers have even been arrested for trying to FEED THEIR BABIES. they should not be forced to nurse babies in dirty restrooms. There is nothing "soft porn" about nursing!!!

The only thing that I would add is that if they want more children, I'd like to see them adopt. Bringing in more kids to this already over-exhausted environment is not what is best for their family.

I certainly admire Brad & Angelina for their contribution to the world by adopting 3 children whom would possibly not have had a home. Kudos!

They don't keep the money. They give it to charity. I work for a refugee assistance organization and I know that for years and years Jolie has given huge amounts of money to help displaced people in the world. These are smart serious people and they don't need the money from these photos. I all goes to worthwhile charities. I find them admirable.
