"Austin Powers" Actor Charged With Gang Rape

TMZ has learned the actor who played Random Task in the first "Austin Powers" movie has been charged with a vicious gang rape.

Joe Son's arrest has been all over newspapers in the O.C., but no one connected the dots -- that the suspect is actually Dr. Evil's henchman -- until now.

Here's how it all went down. Son pleaded guilty back in May to felony vandalism. The plea required him to fork over a DNA sample. Investigators ran his sample and found Son's DNA connected him to an unsolved gang rape back in 1990, where a woman was pistol-whipped, raped, threatened with death and eventually blindfolded and released naked.

Son has been charged with five felony counts of rape, two felony counts of forcible sodomy, two felony counts of sodomy in concert by force, seven felony counts of forcible oral copulation, and one felony count of sexual penetration by foreign object by force.

I had to read those charges a few times to fully grasp what those men did to her. She was vaginally, anally and orally raped--multiple times, by several men. They inserted objects into her and beat her. They tortured her for sport. That poor woman! What they did was nothing less than a hate crime.

Men who commit these types of crimes do not stop until they are apprehended. (I should know; I work with sex offenders.) It is naive to assume this was his only rape.

He walked around free for 18 years, I can only imagine the hell the woman have had to live through all these years. I say Jail is too good for these offenders!

DNA is a mutha. Too bad he's only getting 275 years to life, and the fact he will be placed in a protective unit in prison due to the nature of the crime.

That's unlikely. Joe Son is a champion martial arts fighter. He will probably be a celebrity in prison. He won't have anything to fear from the other inmates.

He can't keep his eyes open all the time and there's always food poisoning. Prisoners have a lot of time on their hands and therefore they are very creative. They'll get him.

Martial arts means little or nothing where he is going Jail is a totally and completely different world. I counsel ex-offenders and they tell me stories that literally keep me up at night. Much of the violence is inflicted by gangs.

BTW, celebrities are often targeted by other inmates.

I used to see this guy all the time at my gym in the OC around the time this crime was committed.
