Politico reports:

Barack Obama attacked John McCain Friday for launching a "barrage of nasty insinuations and attacks" as the stock market drops tumbles.

"Even as we face the most serious economic crisis of our time, even as you are worried about keeping your jobs or paying your bills or staying in your homes, my opponent's campaign announced last week that they plan to 'turn the page' on the discussion about our economy so they can spend the final weeks of this election attacking me instead," Obama said during a speech in Chillicothe, Ohio.

John Weaver, John McCain's former top strategist, says the Republican candidate is making both a moral and a tactical mistake by letting abusive hecklers have free rein at rallies:

"People need to understand, for moral reasons and the protection of our civil society, the differences with Senator Obama are ideological, based on clear differences on policy and a lack of experience compared to Senator McCain," Weaver said. "And from a purely practical political vantage point, please find me a swing voter, an undecided independent, or a torn female voter that finds an angry mob mentality attractive."

McCain is trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube now.

Too late you doddering old f o o l. You have lost all of your honor, integrity, honesty and the respect of the vast majority of Americans.

You are finished, as is your running mate. I really hope it was worth it for you old man.

Watching the McCain rally is a trip (via CNN).

His followers are so desperate, they are all pleading with him to attack Obama in the debate and he keeps saying, "I get it" and "you should say it for me" as if this hero is terrified of angering this crowd.

How McCain's campaign works - from the Rolling Stone Magazine:

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/story/23482821/the_return_of_rove/2

Quote:

"Sure enough, it was right after that dismal night outside New Orleans that McCain — whose campaign stumpery until then had been fairly predictable, focusing heavily on his personal story, the Iranian threat and his experience and patriotic bona fides relative to Obama — began a somewhat drastic rhetorical overhaul. Under Schmidt's guidance, McCain's tactics took on a darker and unmistakably Rovian character.

The hallmark of the Rove campaigning method is the political act so baldly below the belt that it literally staggers you. Even the most hardened cynics find themselves continually surprised by the ability of Rove and his minions to always hit that evasive new low, coming up with things that would shock a 60-year-old Greyhound-station hooker.

Unquote.

'Nuff said.

It's not decency, it's public relations.

His own party has called him on it and he now knows it hurts him with moderates and independents.

If the thought it was helping him, he'd be giving out noosesinstead of campaign buttons.

Oh come on. You can't always stop in mid-speech and lecture your audience on manners because one nutjob shouted something. Sometimes you just ignore it and keep going.

It became a meme when the MSM started flooding the zone with this stuff. So he had to address it.

Obama should thank McCain. While everybody is busy trying to find a new way to smear the man, the shadowy figures pulling Obama's strings go unnoticed. It wouldn't matter, though. ACORN is operating in broad daylight and Obama gets a free pass. Obama held a secret meeting with an Iraqi official trying to undermine the ongoing talks at the time Bush was having with the Iraqis about withdrawal. You people give Obama a pass for that.

Whether you hate a president or not, no senator has any business trying to undermine the president while he's speaking with the Iraqis about our troops. Obama denies it, of course, but the Iraqis said Obama's goal was having all troop withdrawal talks put aside until the "new president" took office. In other words, he would begin his presidency with a "breakthrough". Nothing like playing with the troops' lives, Obama. Real classy.

I won't bother defending ACORN, since there's plenty of information out there now to debunk your lies. Your other lie is an old retread, so I'll address it briefly.

Any discussion Obama had in Iraq was directly specific to the unconstitutional SOFA that Bush has been attempting to sneak past Congress. It's the responsibility of a United States Senator to remind Iraqi officials of American law.

You're a fil-thy li-ar.

From the vantage of Bible prophecy, the timing of the current global financial crisis is intriguing. The bailout debate in the US Senate and House of Representatives, in particular, coincided with the beginning of the fall cycle of Israel's feast days--which includes the Feast of Trumpets/Jewish New Year, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles--and, more ominously, a new seven-year sabbatical cycle that may or may not represent Daniel's seventieth week, otherwise known as the tribulation period. During that period the Antichrist will restructure the global economy in such a way that no man can buy or sell without a mark on his right hand or forehead. Refusal to submit to that system will lead to martyrdom.

GOP attacks on American voters turn desperate, ugly and dangerous

The GOP assault on American voters has hit full stride as the economy and John McCain tank in synch.

With just over three weeks until election day, the Republicans have mounted an all-out attack against newly registered voters and the organizations working to sign them up. As many as 75% of these new voters are expected to vote Democratic, but the attacks have also spread to long-established voters as well. Recent calculations show more than a million more newly registered Democrats in Ohio than Republicans.

I just hope this is just the death rattle of the neo-conservative lunatic fringe's influence on the right.
The lunatic fringe that took over an essentially honorable man’s campaign and turned it into this stink ridden cesspool of lies and innuendo.
The lunatic fringe that 'Swift Boated' a decorated Vietnam Vet to benefit two men who, through their own design, didn't come within 6,000 miles of Vietnam.
The lunatic fringe that are now trying to link a member of the Weather Underground and its 1960's anti-war fanaticism with a then 8 year old Barak Obama!
And worst of all, the lunatic fringe that hi-jacked Jesus and used his message of Universal Brotherhood and Peace to sow hatred and divisiveness across this land!

Its time we grow up America and see these neo-con lunatic fringers for what they are; Un-American!
