Obama: Wall Street Tumbles And All John McCain Can Do Is Stoke "Anger And Division"

Politico reports:

Barack Obama attacked John McCain Friday for launching a "barrage of nasty insinuations and attacks" as the stock market drops tumbles.

"Even as we face the most serious economic crisis of our time, even as you are worried about keeping your jobs or paying your bills or staying in your homes, my opponent's campaign announced last week that they plan to 'turn the page' on the discussion about our economy so they can spend the final weeks of this election attacking me instead," Obama said during a speech in Chillicothe, Ohio.

John Weaver, John McCain's former top strategist, says the Republican candidate is making both a moral and a tactical mistake by letting abusive hecklers have free rein at rallies:

"People need to understand, for moral reasons and the protection of our civil society, the differences with Senator Obama are ideological, based on clear differences on policy and a lack of experience compared to Senator McCain," Weaver said. "And from a purely practical political vantage point, please find me a swing voter, an undecided independent, or a torn female voter that finds an angry mob mentality attractive."

McCainPalin has nowhere to go now but down. He can run away from President Bush, but he can't run away from the Republican Party. As a Vietnam veteran, I can assure you the vast majority of those troops will never follow orders to fire on their fellow citizens anymore than the French troops were willing to shoot their own people during the French Revolution. You see, those men and women are our sons and daughters, husbands and wives. They are not going to shoot their own mothers, fathers, relatives and friends in order to preserve the status quo. And they will attack their own officers and civilian leaders (politicians & the rich) if they are pressed. Things are getting really weirded out around here. The more hate mongering I see going on the more I believe that this martial law thing might come to play. I keep hearing about the "liberal media" yet all I see on the TV is McCain and his cronies screaming their desparation at the top of their lungs! Why are they not seriously questioning some of McCain's many sordid ties and actions!

I'm so sick of that man wrapping himself up and the flag and playing the POW card for all it's worth while his secessionist running mate with her witch hunt pastor scream about Obama's ties. Why is this so-called liberal media screaming about Keating-5, G. Gordan Liddy, and his ties to anti-abortion terrorists! What about his blocking POW/MIA families from getting documentation about their missing loved ones? An act he engaged in probably to protect his own skin since transcripts of the 32 propaganda videos he made while likely also have been released.

How is it that a Republican senator can behave atrociously on the senate floor like a foul-mouthed, petulant two-year in a full meltdown and the so-called liberal media isn't screaming it from the roof-tops! Stories wind up buried on the back page next to the obituaries!

You know damn well, if a Democratic politician had a fraction of McCain's dirt the so-called "liberal" media would be screaming it from the rooftops!
