"That One" Makes The YouTube Rounds
Has there ever been a campaign that has inspired more art than this one? The Shepherd Fairey posters, the viral videos, the Obama Girl boy-shorts. And that's before Sarah Palin came on the scene.
Now we have debate-inspired art — specifically, a song inspired by John McCain referring dismissively to Barack Obama as "That One." Muscian Adam Dorn, aka Mocean Worker, has pulled together a techno-themed song which is surprisingly catchy given its free-associative lyrics. It's called "That One (Is Gonna Be Our President)" and it's already making the YouTube rounds. Here's a sample lyric, rapped freestyle: "You know I'm not into dudes but you know "That One's" kinda cool, If I would be into dudes it might be like "That One." I think Rebecca Traister has observed that phenomenon before.

Full disclosure: Adam Dorn is a friend of mine, and he very kindly transcribed the lyrics after I asked "Do you have the lyrics?" Then he told me it took longer to transcribe the lyrics than it did to make the song and video. Eep. Sorry Adam! Well, enjoy below.
