Mccain And Palin

New York Times:

After a turbulent week that included new disclosures about Gov. Sarah Palin and signs that Senator John McCain was struggling to strike the right tone for his campaign, Republican leaders said Saturday they were worried that Mr. McCain was heading for defeat unless he brought stability to his presidential candidacy and settled on a clear message to counter Senator Barack Obama.

Again and again, party leaders said in interviews that while they still believed that Mr. McCain could win over voters in the next 30 days, they were concerned that he and his advisers seemed to be adrift in dealing with an extraordinarily challenging political battleground and a crisis on Wall Street.

The problem with Gov. Crist is that he's not as smart as Gov. Palin!

Here's proof!

I am watching the Biden rally and I have yet to hear a h@teful shout from the audience.

When Biden speaks of McCain, I didn't hear anyone shout "nursing home" or "d e m e n tia".

That's class, folks.

The candidates set the tone of their rallies. It speaks both to the integrity of their campaign anad the integrity of their characters. We will never hear the hatefulness in Obama/Biden rallies that we hear at McCain/Palin rallies. The supporters give back what they are given, and if they're given message that is positive and uplifiting and inclusive, then that's what the crowd gives back. But if they're given a message filled with hate and divisiveness, then they'll respond likewise. The conduct of the candidates, the conduct of their campaign and the conduct of their rallies speak volumes about the choice before us, and the distinction between Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin couldn't be clearer.

I've had the privilege of attending three Obama rallies in Wisconsin, and all they consist of is very large meetings of very diverse, very concerned Americans who are seeking positive change to save our communities and our country. Sure most of them are upset and many are angry about what the republicans have done to us - I mean if you have a brain and been noncomatose for the last 8 years how could you not be? But the overriding atmosphere is one of hope for finally electing some reasonable intelligent leaders that will work for normal American people to run our government.

Meanwhile the republicans base their message solely on lies, fear, hate, and division, and whip up
l yn ch mobs.

The contrast is quite instructive as far as where the respective parties are trying to take this country.

Obama is an incredible man

Conservative columnist David Brooks said Obama sent tingles up his spine the first time he met him

Biden is in a class by himself. His gaffes endear him to people, because he speaks from the heart, and the emotions are real, even when he trips the words, people know exactly what he is thinking

'Incredible' is definitely one of the words I would use to describe him also.......

One of the biggest dangers in lying is keeping your story straight, and making sure everyone is on the same page. Even "real" crooks and m u r d e r e r s know that.

They switch parties... Same group of people who helped J.F.K. get elected

Obama is a good politician, what you have to do is starve their think tanks and scatter them as best you can.
