Mccain And Palin

New York Times:

After a turbulent week that included new disclosures about Gov. Sarah Palin and signs that Senator John McCain was struggling to strike the right tone for his campaign, Republican leaders said Saturday they were worried that Mr. McCain was heading for defeat unless he brought stability to his presidential candidacy and settled on a clear message to counter Senator Barack Obama.

Again and again, party leaders said in interviews that while they still believed that Mr. McCain could win over voters in the next 30 days, they were concerned that he and his advisers seemed to be adrift in dealing with an extraordinarily challenging political battleground and a crisis on Wall Street.

John McCain should focus on anything but the economy.

It's time for McCain to raise the white flag.

John McCain is a man with no core beliefs. He is the true media creation, the maverick POW who goes against the establishment. He is floundering because he is incapable of articulating his plans for this country.

He is another one who feels entitled to the presidency. He thinks he deserves it, therefore it should be his.

He doesn't deserve to be elected.

I agree - it's obvious he had no plan for the campaign and has no plan for governing. That's one of the most impressive aspects of the Obama/Biden ticket - true long term thinking.

They need to stop listening to the likes of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. They are enormously responsible for the polarization and ignorance of this country.

Hey, Rush turned me from Republican to Democrat (now Independent) years ago. With out his hate views I would have never voted for Clinton.

McCainPalin has nowhere to go now but down. He can run away from President Bush, but he can't run away from the Republican Party. The Republicans will be regarded from now on as "the party that wrecked America." Over the weeks ahead, as carnage in the economy and the financial markets ramps up, it will become increasingly clear. It is important that this meme be spread through the internet. I urge all commentators to adopt and spread the idea that the Republicans are "the party that wrecked America." It will work because it is the truth.

Well there's the problem, don't ya know? They say JM and SP can win over the people in the next 30 days? The election is in 24 days I think....If he brings Wright back, then all hell will break out: Sarah's church, AIP, Keating, etc. You see, we aren't going to hit McCain with a garden hose, we will be putting out this fire with a tsunami.

I am a huge Obama supporter and I've noticed, and I know all of you have, that even though this is the 21st century and a good portion of the US is voting for Obama and the future, the republicans are running these smear tactics like we were still living in the 60's and 70's - Americans aren't falling for this anymore. It's hard enough to work and eck out a living for ourselves and our children; than to listen to the two Rep. candidates to be so ugly in this campaign. History has proven that it doesn't work (except on Kerry); but I think the American people should stand together on this one and educate those that think Obama is a muslim, employed by Ayers, and play the entire Youtube for those regarding Rev. Wright and the fact that he was reciting from an article written by a WHITE MAN, instead of the Hannity version; we need to think out our future; my 401 K, along with thousands and thousands of Americans is worth 1/4th it's worth than last year. I'm 54 and Wall Street stole my retirement. I don't see Mccain doing anything to take care of us, besides cutting medicare and medical to pay for his $5,000 dog poo health plan. With his wealth, we doesn't understand that $5,000 doesn't BUY a health plan, that 3 months worth of premiums and then it's gone -.

He wants the power of being President....that's it in a nutshell
