Palin Booed At Flyers' Game (VIDEO)

E&P reports that Sarah Palin was greeted with a chorus of boos at the Philadelphia Flyers game where she dropped the puck at the Flyers' opener:

You never know where you are gonna find a political scoop, but Lynn Zinser at her NYT hockey "Slapshot" blog just posted that Sarah Palin, in her much-ballyhooed appearance dropping the puck at the Philly Flyers' opener, was greeted by "resounding (almost deafening) boos from the Flyers crowd."

The biggest problem: when Palin came out to onto the Wachovia Center ice Saturday night -- greeted by resounding (almost deafening) boos from the Flyers crowd -- the the two hockey players who had no choice but to appear with her in that photo op were turned into props in a political campaign.

And speaking as a Philly fan we don't boo anyone/anything. We boo losers and Santa was only booed bc at the time Phila was losing. Look it up. The hockey game didnt start so you can't say the fans booed her bc of that so the other option is that Sarah Palin is a loser, and we all know that is true.

I think the boo's had to be expected upon their arrival. That's why her daughter was dragged on the ice with her. I believe she has made it apparent that she is not above using her family for political capital and condemning others who do the same. ( Welcome To The Pros) . Does anyone remember at the Republican National Convention when she lifted her infant child in the air like he was Simba in the Lion King? I'm not saying it's right, that's just how it's done. Sarah Palin is a joke on many,many levels, but if you think about it, pandering to a blue collar hockey fan base is probably the most Vice-Presidential thing she can do during the campaign given her apparently limited attributes. I don't think it was a bad move for the campaign necessarily, I think it was just a little embarrassing for her personally because she is a "Hockey Mom". I'm shocked at myself for writing this but in her defense, It could have been worse considering she didn't flunk an elementary spelling bee, claim invention of the internet or shoot one of her best friends in the face with a shot gun! ( This time around! ).

Bravo by the way to the Philly Flyers crowd who showed that "Joe Six Pack" wants "Change" in the White House more than "Mavericks"; and who also proved that you can be surprisingly apt while being belligerent at the same time.

Well dontcha know that she can identify with Moms out there. A 17 year old pregnant daughter who is soon to be married to her high-school drop out boyfriend. An infant that presumeably is being cared for by a nanny since I never see her with the baby unless it is for a photo-op , or her husband. Tutors for the other school-age children. Yeah, she is just like all the Mom's I know. At first, Palin was a joke. Now she is turning into a very despicable woman who very few women will identify with. I also believe this ordeal will do nothing for her future career.
