Now that Sarah Palin has been found to have abused her powers, violated state ethics, and lied about it, I did a little digging and found an interesting historical footnote.

The McCain/Palin ticket is the first in American history in which both candidates were found to have violated ethics standards before a national election.

1. Palin was found by the Alaska Legislature to Have Violated Alaska Statute 39.52.010(­a).

2. She billed state for nights in her own home.

3. She "Fudged her Taxes" and did not include the $20+ Thousand for the Nights at Home.

4. She billed state for time she spent on church duties.

5. She sees Putin (5,500 miles away) and Russia (800 miles away) so has forign policy experience.

6. She reads "all of the Newspapers, you know all of them!"

7. She was for and was not for the Bridge to Nowhere.

Who believes a person with this kind of record?

What I'd like to know if why the mainstream media (except for Keith O. & Rachel M. on MSNBC) are completely ignoring that Palin got campaign finance help and other support to become mayor of Wasilla with the direct help of members of the Alaskan Independence Party (ie successionists).

How un-American is that group? Why is no one pointing out the hypocracy of Palin attacking Obama on the Ayers connection while she and her husband have remained in contact with and Palin even spoke at one of the AIP group events less than a year ago?

We'd all like to think that these two are setting new standards for indecency in a political campaign. But really, they're cut from the same cloth as Reagan and Bush 1 and their cronies. It was published on another reputable web site today that although McCain claimed he had nothing to do with Keating after the Keating 5 scandal, his WIFE and FATHER-IN-LAW did business with Keating into the 1990's, and Cindy finally cashed out making a big profit in 1998.

Either McCain is a liar or he is totally ignorant of what goes on in his own wife's finances, which I fail to believe as he has to make disclosures for Congress.
