Now that Sarah Palin has been found to have abused her powers, violated state ethics, and lied about it, I did a little digging and found an interesting historical footnote.

The McCain/Palin ticket is the first in American history in which both candidates were found to have violated ethics standards before a national election.

Obama/Biden have to authorize an attack on Palin and her association with the Alaskan Independence Party. With McCian surrogates trying to tie Michell Obama to Ayers and his wife, Todd Palin is fair game for exposure. He was an active member of the AIP.

Your statements are very true concerning the Palins and the McPlugged machine. I don't think Obama wants to respond that way, though. He's showing himself to be in control, cool, temperate, standing in the midst of a fiery onslaught of hateful lies and unfounded accusations. These are the qualities we admire in a leader. It's allright to respond with a definitive response, but his ratings are steadily climbing because Americans are seeing that the man is resolved, focused and wise in his approach to problem solving. McSame is flailing his arms, pacing the floor and shooting from the hip with a barrage of quips and insults. Palin is yipping like a Chihuahua, not a Pit Bull. She's losing traction because folks are seeing her double-speak and hypocrisy for what it is. I think such contrasts do much more than any counter attack can do. I also think Obama is doing his best to deliver on his promise to refrain from Rove tactics and politics as usual.

and yet they still run and have 40% of American's support. The lawlessness of the Republican party has simply been accepted by the fringe, now, anything goes, whether it's breaking the law, lying, slander, you name it. I think they're hoping to incite violence before Nov. 4.

I hope the Democrats never have to sink to the level of Republican lawbreaking, but if they do, it's going to be hard for me to work up any anger about it, and I'm going to get a lot of satisfaction listening to the GOP scream about the 'unfairness' of it.

Don't be shocked by this statement! It is done quite frequently below the mason/dixon line. Once at the beach home, another at the home in the mountain, and another where they live and do business. In my State, we have Mountains to the west of us, Beach to east and homes and farms in the middle. Believe me 'they' do it! Have been doing it and they brag about it amongst themselves.
