Now that Sarah Palin has been found to have abused her powers, violated state ethics, and lied about it, I did a little digging and found an interesting historical footnote.

The McCain/Palin ticket is the first in American history in which both candidates were found to have violated ethics standards before a national election.

Well, there you go, John McCain and Sarah Palin have just PROVEN that they're mavericks -- gettin' (as Tina Fey would say) all "mavericky" about compliance with government ethics' standards.

If you want someone who'll just follow the ... um ... law like, well, like law-followers, you won't find that with McCain and Palin. THEY are not afraid to break the laws that they disagree with -- like the law against scratchin' the backs of rich donors, the law against using your public powers to fight a personal vendetta, the law against hate-speech .... and so on.

McCain and Palin are like a ship without a rudder or a Captain. One day they are accusing Obama of being to naive, never accomplished anything, unexperienced. The next day everything that has happened in Washington and at the Pentagon since Obama was 8 years old is his fault. How can you have not had one important piece of legislation, yet the economy, the war, healthcare, taxes, and every other thing, including a college radical from the 60's, is Barack Obama's fault. By the way, Bill Ayers and Senator Obama have never been sentenced for anything. Both Palin and McCain have been accused of illegal activities and had ethics violations.
