ABC: "Palin Makes Troopergate Assertions That Are Flatly False"

ABC's Political Punch:

On Saturday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin twice spoke to reporters about the so-called "Troopergate" scandal and the investigative report on whether she had abused her power in trying to get her sister's ex-husband Mike Wooten fired as a state trooper, and for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan one year after she, her staffers, and her husband Todd began unsuccessfully pressuring Monegan to let Wooten go.

Palin spoke on the phone with Alaska reporters about the report. The McCain-Palin campaign only allowed one question per reporter. The journalists came from the Anchorage Daily News, KTVA-Channel 11 and KTUU-Channel 2. No follow-ups were allowed.

Where is the fourth estate when we need it most at times like before the Iraq war and during this election. McCain and Palin by proxy is getting free pass after free pass in the media. In fact it seems like the conservatives in the media are calling out Palin in particular these days because the rest of the media is scared off worrying that the McCain campaign will call them sexist.

Palin's in dangerous territiry claiming innocence when its proven she was very guility in her personal vendetta against an enemy. Reminds me of the present administrations claims and actions against anyone who doesn't do what they want, or doesn't agree with their policy's. The public has gotten wise to the republican doublespeak and abuse of power to control the negative impact on their agenda's, using any means at their control. The illegal abuses going on are being seen for what has happened to this country, and mistrust of the present government's leaders, and until accountability for the things that have happened are carried out, it'll continue, and probably get worse. The present republican campaign only reinforces to what lenght they will go to, to keep control.

Palin didn't come out looking very well in the Troopergate report but that doesn't really matter. She has been ruled out as a viable VP and replacement for McCain by most of the electorate already. The Couric interviews and her shallow debate performance did her in as an asset to the ticket.

Sarah Palin is the most dangerous political figure in America today. America has already been ravaged by Bush, Rove and Cheney. Are we now to suffer the consequences of a woman who is ignorant as well as greedy, ambitious and completely savage? McCain is a doddering old war machine. Bible says man will be fooled by false prophets, but some will turn away in time, one can still turn away from these false prophets whom use bible, Jesus, God to perpetrate their evil, sin, bible tells us one can tell a false prophet by the words which proceed from their mouths, and it is so obvious to me, but guess when one lets the world blind one, tempt one it is harder, but I refuse to follow these false prophets whom say one thing, but their words tell me other wise!

McCain/Palin can only appeal to the zealots on the far right whom live in that realm of the late Jerry Falwell or the still living prosperity preaching televangelists whom helped elect Bush jr, and in my view fit the bible prediction of those whom are false prophets, since Jesus never preached getting rich, only riches he ever said anyone would get would be those in heaven, unlike the televangelists whom jet around their persnal jets, limos, sit in their multi-million dollar mansions, and the only thing I can remember to fit these people is the bible parable of the rich man whom came to Jesus and wanted to follow him, but when told to give/re-distribute his wealth to the poor, he got sad and went away unable to give/re-distribute his wealth which he loved more than his desire to follow Jesus, anyone see the connection how the "republicans harp on that one word give/re-distribute wealth from them to the poor? Guess them being the proverbial blind biblical goats whom on judgment day Jesus will not know since they ignored the poor, hungry, naked those sick and in prison, in life, in after life, they will get their earthly wish to live amongst "their kind for all eternity", in that lake of fire!

Sarah Palin is driving the women's vote to Obama. I was trying to figure out-as a woman- why I disliked her so much. I'm pro-choice and her extreme view on abortion is an obvious reason But the thing that really irritates me is that she reminds me of the women I have met throughout my career that got ahead through manipulation and exploiting their looks to their advantage instead of being promoted on merit, experience, ability or education. She will say anything to get what she wants and does not care who she has to step on to get it.
