ABC: "Palin Makes Troopergate Assertions That Are Flatly False"

ABC's Political Punch:

On Saturday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin twice spoke to reporters about the so-called "Troopergate" scandal and the investigative report on whether she had abused her power in trying to get her sister's ex-husband Mike Wooten fired as a state trooper, and for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan one year after she, her staffers, and her husband Todd began unsuccessfully pressuring Monegan to let Wooten go.

Palin spoke on the phone with Alaska reporters about the report. The McCain-Palin campaign only allowed one question per reporter. The journalists came from the Anchorage Daily News, KTVA-Channel 11 and KTUU-Channel 2. No follow-ups were allowed.

The problem is the Legislative Council who conducted the investigation does not have the legal authority to say that she broke state ethics laws. Even the chairman of the council said, “We don’t try people as legislators. Any action or disciplinary measures would be up to Palin’s executive branch, the attorney general or the state Personnel Board."

So it is the opinion of one man that she broke the ethics law and neither he nor the Legislative Council have any legal power in this case.

Can a clearer case be made that Republicans think we are a$$holes? She was cleared of any unethical behavior??????????????? What? Is she high? Does she think we are?
There are people who will see a blue sky only to be told it is yellow by Palin and they will believe her. They are the same people who believe Senator Obama is a Muslin (I saw the misspelled sign). God help them. They deserve to go where ever she is leading them.
