ABC: "Palin Makes Troopergate Assertions That Are Flatly False"

ABC's Political Punch:

On Saturday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin twice spoke to reporters about the so-called "Troopergate" scandal and the investigative report on whether she had abused her power in trying to get her sister's ex-husband Mike Wooten fired as a state trooper, and for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan one year after she, her staffers, and her husband Todd began unsuccessfully pressuring Monegan to let Wooten go.

Palin spoke on the phone with Alaska reporters about the report. The McCain-Palin campaign only allowed one question per reporter. The journalists came from the Anchorage Daily News, KTVA-Channel 11 and KTUU-Channel 2. No follow-ups were allowed.

We've only "known" this woman for less than two months and already, all of the information that has come out about her is so disgusting that it boggles the mind. Another Palin deception, she fired the cook cause she paid herself to stay home to eat instead. Does bush pay himself a per diem when he goes to crawford?

So, I read the report.

There are some nuggets there.

For example:

There is a stunning conclusion drawn by Monegan that the Department of Public Safety would never get the full funding to do its job as long as Trooper Wooten was still employed. I haven't seen that item mentioned yet, but it is there! In other words Palin put the safety of the entire population of Alaska at potential risk trying to get her revenge.

Another part that had me laughing out loud was the explanation to Todd (I think it was by Monegan, but maybe someone else) that Wooten could not be arrested for shooting the moose illegally unless Palin's sister was also arrested. She owned the moose tag and was sitting in the boat with Wooten (she had declined to take the shot herself). It's illegal to give your moose tag to another person. Troopers would also have to arrest Palin's father, who butchered the moose, and all who shared in it's meat, which included Sarah and Todd!

I guess that's when the Palin family stopped bringing up Wooten's "crime" of "poaching" the moose.

You know, many months ago all I wanted was to elect Barak Obama. I never thought I would learn so much about Alaska.

Oh he will, you betcha! He didn't go thru all of this for nothing. Fighting Rove and McCain and all of those Republican mobsters that went up there and tried to stop the truth from coming out. Oh she'll be in the news long after she is gone and it won't be pretty.

Remember also, that Monegan was hired after Wooten had been investigated and punished. Palin was not satisfied with the results of the investigation and wanted more. She also pressured the state disability board to reopen and then deny a disability claim by Wooten based on information supplied by her family members. That combination clearly shows she was using her office to conduct a family vendetta against trooper Wooten.

I suppose Palin could read the report and make it say what she wants to say. It's funny that what she reads and interpets is quite different than how the report is written. Oh well, it doesn't seem to have an affect anyway. She is actually running for the highest office in the country and with that violation hanging there it doesn't seem to matter.

Ask her kids last time the felt special in that house. There is only one star of the Palin passion play - everyone else - the kids and even the First R'Neck - are props.

Her "pit bull" nature does not show any signs of vulnerability or empathy. She's all energy and forcefulness, but in pursuit of what is the question. A dangerous mix of Narcssism, ambition and primitive instinct are evident. Her children appear to have payed the price. Where are the psychologists and their professional authority in diagnosing and calling out some of these pathological aspects in politicians? Shouldn't that would be one of the psychiatric professions most important contributions to society. They should at least have a say in the mental health of it's leaders. Is that profession still that controversial?

When ABC questions a rethug's credibility, she should know she's in trouble. They are so in the tank with rethugs, this is an amazing statement coming from them.

There are two big questions raised to Sarah Palie-n. If Trooper wooten did not exist, would Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan still have his job?. I am sure he would, especially taken in to account the next guy who tried to fill his shoes. The next question is-- if the Union believes Trooper wooten is still competent to fulfill his duties, as does the L.A.P.D 10,000 + strong,-- maybe she can fire a few department heads when some Police officers are accused of the very same thing (Exaggerations aside by the Palie-n clan) and look for a bunch of bad guys police officers. But first ms. Palie-n, own up to your shortcomings before you demand justice and perfection. You would be out of office if you held yourself to your own expectations.
