ABC: "Palin Makes Troopergate Assertions That Are Flatly False"

On Saturday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin twice spoke to reporters about the so-called "Troopergate" scandal and the investigative report on whether she had abused her power in trying to get her sister's ex-husband Mike Wooten fired as a state trooper, and for firing Public Safety Commissioner Walt Monegan one year after she, her staffers, and her husband Todd began unsuccessfully pressuring Monegan to let Wooten go.

Palin spoke on the phone with Alaska reporters about the report. The McCain-Palin campaign only allowed one question per reporter. The journalists came from the Anchorage Daily News, KTVA-Channel 11 and KTUU-Channel 2. No follow-ups were allowed.

The report concluded that she had abused her power, and there was indeed something "unethical" about her behavior, insofar as it violated the state Ethics Act.

The report states: "I find that Governor Sarah Palin Abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act ... Compliance with the code of ethics is not optional...

When questioned by reporters, the Governor stated, "I've read The Book of Acts through and through. It emphasizes the workings of the Holy Spirit, and the changes in people made possible through Its power. I am in power and I made personnel changes as the spirit moved me. What's the big deal?"

Wow! All of the secular media is casting Gov. Palin in such a negative light!! An honest, charitable, respectful and truthful woman deserves more respect, at the very least.

So, what business does THIS woman have to blast investigating reports coming out regarding her behavior? Her "poor baby" response to the COPIOUS, intelligent (LOL) interviews she has given, ring hollow--Where do you get your news? What is the Bush Doctrine? Supreme Court decisions? ANYONE knows these questions are outrageous. Right?

Yet her continuing dialogue flows like a river of toxic waste--contaminating anyone exposed to it. She revels in character assassination, and verbally attacks when the shoe is on the other foot!!

What redeeming factor can Americans find with the person named Sarah Palin?

Just like McCain's disingenuous "release" of his medical records, Palin is just as screened. That tells me they have something to hide.

Looking ahead, in the unlikely event they actually win in November, think about what life will be like at their news conferences and briefings in the coming 4 years: One question per reporter, no follow up, limited access to records etc. See where this is going, everyone? Some open government we'd have with those two.

What a joke the two of them are. What this says is that Palin can't be trusted by the McCain campaign, who is turning her into a programmed robot. Follow up questions, after all, often bring out the truth. And they can't handle the truth.

Palin is transparent, but not in the way thinks. We can read the report that has found that she has ABUSED HER POWER AS GOVERNOR OF ALASKA. Palin knowingly either lies, or does not live in reality. We already have an administration that had done that for the last 7 1/2 years. McCain has exercised HORRIBLE judgment for this country in picking her as his VP.
