Hillary Speech Ashes Of Bushes

In a passionate speech introducing Joe Biden at a campaign rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania this afternoon, Hillary Clinton gave a strong endorsement to Barack Obama by celebrating the end of the Bush administration, shouting:

"Make no mistake about it. We've done it before and we will do it again. America will once again rise from the ashes of the Bushes."

It's the second time in the last week that she's used the dramatic line - last Monday, she said that "America can rise again as we have before from the ashes of the Bushes" in a forceful speech at the 8th Annual Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee Luncheon in New York City.

This afternoon, she also slammed John McCain and the Bush administration's response to the financial crisis, criticizing them for bailing out large companies while "millions of people are losing their homes and jobs every single day! Where's their bailout?"

And she said that sending Republicans back to Washington to clean up the economic mess was like "sending a bull to clean up the china closet. They broke it and we're not buying it anymore."

Biden, demonstrating again that he is the Obama campaign's pit bull, slammed the McCain campaign's recent attacks that focused on Obama's association with Bill Ayers, accusing the Republican candidate of "relying on political stunts instead of offering solutions" and calling McCain "erratic."

The Democratic vice-presidential nominee shook his head as he noted "the ugly inferences and unbecoming personal attacks that have been directed and launched by the McCain campaign."

And he mocked Sarah Palin's record of questioning how much of a role man-made causes had to do with global warming: "How the heck are you going to solve a problem if you don't know what's causing it?"

I think the more accurate phrase is "From the ASSES of the Bushes."

Hillary was amazing! She coined a good one too, sort of Kennedy-eque. Don't ask who you're for, Ask who is for you.

And too bad we have this bunch running instead of her, but maybe we will get lucky in Obama, intelligence and top of class as opposed to bottom runger McCain ). Intelligence and sense of justice, fairness, awareness, generosity of spirit, greatness, that remains to be seen.

The more Hillary speaks, the more clearly obvious, Sarah Palin is not qualified to be Vice President, and unthinkably, certainly can not perform the duty as President, Commander in Chief. This is as clear as Water!! Obama-08. Never forget, McCain is 72 years old and in the last debate, his feeble age showed through the cameras; he was very winded half way through the debate. We need strength, and strong leadership, and brains, and compassion, and new direction, and someone who will unite us all, not divide us. It is not a matter that Obama is a black man, he is the RIGHT MAN to get us back on track, and clean up the ashes left from the Bushes.

Confession to Hilary: I am so sorry to have mistrusted you in the primaries. Now that I am overdosed everyday with another woman's ignorance, hatred, bigotry who may become one day your VP or may be your President, I am feeling very sad and guilty.

I agree. I used to tune in here to get my daily dose of venom for Hillary. But, in light of this new phenomenon from Alaska...Hillary is looking more and more like Mother Teresa.

Hear, hear. She does much better without those advisors that were running her campaign, doesn't she?

Just hearing Hillary speak, speaks volumes in making a comparison with Sarah Palin. There is no way she is qualified to Vice President, let alone President. She was wrong from the beginning. That should be apparent, painfully obviously clear! Good Job Hillary. Go Obama! Win! Win for us all!

Hillary will probably have a key position, and working together is what this should be about, not having a candidate spreading division and hate. It is all about cleaning up the financial armagedon we are facing. It is about jobs, and rebuilding our infrastructure, and stabilizing our markets, and businesses and banking industry. We all have to come together to do this. We can not afford to be distracted by the dumb stuff, the petty stuff and hatred that McCain camp has implemented. Wake Up! These times are too grave with too much at stake to continue down that road. Hillary said it best, shows her best and in comparison with Palin, well there is no comparison. Is there? OBAMA-08

In order to win, we stand together. We can not win this election sitting down, or remainng unfocused on the real core issues, the tragic decline and fiancial armagedon that we are now facing as a result of Bush and his Administration and Fat Cat Pals. This has to end now. We must elect Obama. He will have a lot of stuff to clean up, but it certainly can not be left to the talents of Palin, (unthinkable) or elderly McCain. And just hearing her speak, the stark comparison, leaves Palin in the Past, a cloud of dust and hot air! Just shows we need strong leadership, and someone knowledgeable, someone with substance, and someone who can filter pass differences and bring us all together to clean up the mess, and rise about the ashes the Bushes have left this entire county in.

Offensive as it may be to you, the whole point of kicking out the bad guys is to return to REAL American values, like Free Speech, so we all have to just tolerate the offensive things we see. Why not try averting your eyes next time?

I have a GREAT idea!!! Let's leave that whole "judgement thing" to GOD. In the meantime, it might not be a bad idea to dust off your bible and read the part about turning the other cheek... You know, that whole forgiveness and tolerance thing that Jesus was teaching. That is, if you're actually a follower...

Dear Friend:

Are you ready yet for the November 4th Elections? How about your friends, family, and neighbors?
More Americans are expected to vote this year than ever before in history, so don’t be left out! Be sure to ask everyone you know the following questions:
• Are you registered to vote? If you moved recently, have you updated your voter registration?
• Did you apply for an Absentee Ballot? Do you know your state may not require any reason?
• Can you find your local Polling Place? Do you know it may have changed from last time?
The answers to these questions -- and all your voting needs -- can be found at www.StateDemocracy.org

How can we make sure that people who do not go on this site or even on the Internet get this good message out? I assume that the Obama campaign and the DNC are getting the message out to as many people as possible. What can we, the ordinary citizen do?
I am terrified about the sleaze at the election sites. I hope there are enough lawyers at each polling place to stop vote suppression. I am an agnostic but I have been praying that Obama and the Democrats do well just in case there is a God.

This is a very wonderful endorsement.

A 106-year-old American nun living in a convent in Rome could well be the oldest person to vote in the 2008 US Presidential election.

Sister Cecilia Gaudette, who last voted for President Eisenhower in 1952, has registered to vote and says she will vote for Democrat Barack Obama.

I confess, I disliked Hillary when she was trying to defeat Obama.
Now after listening to Sarah StupidAzz Palin for a few weeks, it's refreshing to hear an intelligent female politician give a coherent speech for a change.

We could have told you that from the beginning...
Sarah Palin would NEVER have been on the Repub ticket if Hillary had been VP or won...you and I know that...she was chosen in a cynical attempt to wrest Hillary supporters from Obama, which did happen, to a minor degree...still, no Hillary supporter could ever be supportive of Palin or Mack for that matter if they really believed the same things as Hillary does.
