Hillary Speech Ashes Of Bushes

In a passionate speech introducing Joe Biden at a campaign rally in Scranton, Pennsylvania this afternoon, Hillary Clinton gave a strong endorsement to Barack Obama by celebrating the end of the Bush administration, shouting:

"Make no mistake about it. We've done it before and we will do it again. America will once again rise from the ashes of the Bushes."

It's the second time in the last week that she's used the dramatic line - last Monday, she said that "America can rise again as we have before from the ashes of the Bushes" in a forceful speech at the 8th Annual Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee Luncheon in New York City.

This afternoon, she also slammed John McCain and the Bush administration's response to the financial crisis, criticizing them for bailing out large companies while "millions of people are losing their homes and jobs every single day! Where's their bailout?"

And she said that sending Republicans back to Washington to clean up the economic mess was like "sending a bull to clean up the china closet. They broke it and we're not buying it anymore."

Biden, demonstrating again that he is the Obama campaign's pit bull, slammed the McCain campaign's recent attacks that focused on Obama's association with Bill Ayers, accusing the Republican candidate of "relying on political stunts instead of offering solutions" and calling McCain "erratic."

The Democratic vice-presidential nominee shook his head as he noted "the ugly inferences and unbecoming personal attacks that have been directed and launched by the McCain campaign."

And he mocked Sarah Palin's record of questioning how much of a role man-made causes had to do with global warming: "How the heck are you going to solve a problem if you don't know what's causing it?"

If the folks at the Clinton/Biden speech and the ones at the Palin speeches were each holding a party (or in Palin's case a cross burning) and drinking a bit, which one would you want to attend?

Undecided voters have been answering that question so loudly, McCain's backpedaling.

Hillary is making a war cry against the Bushes. Great. But then why does her husband Bill go on boating trips with George Sr? What do they talk about? How close are the Clintons to the Bushes -- socially and otherwise?

Haven't read about that *lately* but I sure did a couple of years ago. I am just curious. I really don't get the Clintons.

Be honest...you haven't read anything lately. Bill and George Sr. work on charitable projects together. They are still raising money to help the victims of Katrina (because Jr. was too d.u.m.b to care). They also work on getting medicine to 3rd world countries.

It will make me smile to see a President Obama visit Alaska and have Sarah Palin forced to call him "Mr. President" instead of "friend of_terrorists".

Also wish I could get footage of McCain's first meeting with Obama after he wins and forced to call him "Mr. President".

Any bets on McCain and Lieberman having to sit by themselves for the rest of their terms at the Senate cafeteria?

I appreciate the concern over the actual troIIs listing viral links here but chill enough to check profiles before tagging someone a "threat".

BTW, this will no doubt lead to "concern troIIs" pretending to be O supporters and sliming legit O supporters here in this way so let's stay cool, calm, collected and smart when it comes to this stuff.

America may rise from the ashes, but a lot of her citizens are not going to be able to retire. Many young people are not going to go to college. It is important to remember that some of the deregulation started in the Clinton administration. Creative, new financial instruments were attractive to both parties. And now I do believe Hil is being a little overly optimistic....it may take an entire generation to recover from the last eight years.

It WILL take at LEAST a generation to recover... not just from the economic ruination of our country (BOTH side culpable... the right MUCH more so than the left)... but from the erosion of our Constitutional rights, our environment, our Middle Class & our manufacturing base (nearly nonexistent)....

...but you have to START somewhere & Barak Obama is the BEST starting point I've seen in many years.

This may come as a shock to most, but Joe Biden is so much more to the Obama campaign than a mere 'pit bull' , as intimated here by Marcus Baram...so much more than can seemingly be imagined by far too many. Senator Biden has lived a life that has clearly demonstrated all of that to anyone who would care to look.
