Mainstream Media Pretending Barack Obama Is Racist, Too

Some stories just have one side. Like the McCain campaign's attempts to smear Barack Obama as a terrorist sympathizer, a man of questionable character. Salon's Glenn Greenwald called out the Washington Post for acting like both campaigns are behaving equally irresponsibly:

Balz's article is about the increasing use of "character attacks" in the presidential race, and rather than state the truth -- that the McCain/Palin ticket is now relying almost exclusively on some of the ugliest and most outright dangerous character smears seen in a modern presidential election

kudos to Glen Greenwald. This so needs to be said. "Some stories just have one side"---at least if you're interested in truth. Another example---the almost total msm black out on stories regarding Sara Palin's ties to the AIP, and let me tell you, they are a lot stronger than Obama's ties to Ayers. It's a journalistic travesty that the msm have refused to report this story while they broadcast this faux Ayers controversy for one week straight, a repeat of what they did in the primaries. I have a list of e-mails of msm contacts on my desktop and I e-mail them everytime I catch them at their fake balance act. I encourage you all to do the same and keep it up after the election.

He may not be racist, but he sure is homophobic. His campaign raised 66 million dollars in August and not one red cent to help Californians fight Prop 8.

What a guy.

And the McCain campaign gave Californians how much? People donate to their chosen candidate. They don't want to see their donations used for a different purpose.

And I guess he doesn't love animals either since he hasn't contributed to Prop 2.

And since he hasn't contributed, I guess he opposes getting that new library built in Wauneta, Nebraska...so why does Obama hate the children of Wauneta???

Since its close to the holiday season the best thing to do is call/email the media sponsors and let them know of your disinclination to buy from them while the shows they sponsor continue dishonest practices advise them that we will avoid buying products from them until fair coverage is of its shows.

starting with FOX!! HERE is a link to the list of sponsors they are pretty much all the same for each station, msnbc, cnn, ect

Sign this petition if you think McCain should stop talking about Obama and William Ayers...and start talking about the economy instead:

Well, well, well, seems like the Huffington Post won't post anyone who slams Obama and McCain for supporting Aparthied. Guess Aparthied and ethnic cleansing isn't racism.

Why was Lou D o b b s making a big deal about the Acorn thing on his show today? I personally think this was a sabotage by the R e t a r d s to smear the Dems, once again. M c G o o is possibly going to win, with a little help from his friends -- the M S M, just watch and see what happens in the next few weeks.

One thing I can say to the Main Stream Media, "FUCKUALL"

David Shuster on MSNBC today made me have to take a dose of Mylanta. Proves you can take the creep out of FOX but you can't take FOX out of the creep.

I think that we need to start appealing to the sponsors. We need to all start sending emails to them. I bet things will surely change. Does anyone have any kind of ideal of how to go about this?
Can we get a protest going people.

I know the article is comedy, but it's totally right. I've noticed this "balancing" too.Even in a blog here on Huffington, people are saying that both candidates campaign is eroding the public's trust in politics. Um, no. McCAIN is eroding people's trust in politics. Obama is defending himself while continuing to show statesmanship (while pundits criticize him for not getting "angry" enough).

Funny, how the MSM will try to drag a man into the mud, even when he's staying clean.

Barack Obama was raised by two white women. He appears to love and respect both of them. So, how in the heck could Obama be racist? The Sunday talking heads shows are a disgrace. I really miss Tim Russert. This is a shameful situation that people are making statements wildly and not being held accountable for them. The McCain surrogates have only proven that they can yell and overtake interviews but never answer any questions. So, why were we shocked when Palin couldn't respond or wouldn't respond to anybody? John McCain has become a total disgrace, also.

Sunday morning shows are sucking since Tim Russert's passing and Tom Brokaw the biggest dud of them all. Stefonopolous has been a hack for a long time...palin's abusive behavior should have drawn a few more seconds of attention...what's up with mainstream media...they are becoming like Fixed News.

I agree with you. Watching MTP, tom kept talking about how wrong lewis was for saying those things. But, he skip over TROOPERGATE. And then he ask one member on the panel, JUST NAME ONE WAY OBAMA WILL HELP THE ECONOMY , AND NEVER ASK WHAT WILL MCCAIN DO. how odd !!!!!!!

I'm tired of the same old white men on TV. Put some young men in there and some young women. Have you noticed all the TV anchors are practically all white. They have four people sitting around a table discussing Senator O and they are all white. I guess they didn't know there are some very intelligent people of color that can hold their own if just given a chance. I wonder if things will ever change. Maybe in my grandkids lifetime things will hopefully change.

Nothing new here. That's the way the M S M works -- play fair and balanced just long enough to look legit.

All of the major mainstream media networks are in the tank with McSame. It has been obvious from the beginning. They have corporate owners who benefit as cronies of the rethuglican crime family. Their problem is that the majority has already decided who they are voting for and it is not McSame.

I wouldn't vote for McSame is he was my angry old uncle.

The Republicans have as much as admitted that they have nothing to offer America in terms of a plan or a "new direction" to lead the country in. This shouldn't surprise anyone, as the model that they've been building on for the past several decades just fell to pieces.

What else can they do at this point? The only platform that they can use is the "be more scared of them than you are of us" platform.

The entire gambit is to trust that they have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams at "dumbing down" the electorate. Their only hope is that they have created enough "low info" voters and "one issue" voters, to be able to carry some margin of victory in their traditional stronghold states (where they have been the most successful at pushing "education budgets" to abysmally low levels), while encouraging their "base" of "guns, god, and taxes" voters to ignore their own best interests yet again.

That and some "diebold magic", voter purges, and creative redistricting (they hope) will keep them enough seats to still claim a "place at the table" with the adults.

I'm sincerely hoping they are WRONG!

Finally some one tells it LIKE IT IS! The media seems to feel every time they have to point to Mc's dirty tricks they should also PRETEND O is also guilty -- O bama IS NOT using the low down dirty under the belt tactics Mc and Palin are using and that's a fact! And sorry but O supporters are not fired up with the hatred you are seeing displayed at Mc/Palin rallies, I know this because if they were you can BET A PAY CHECK the media would be more than happy to report it.
