CBS reports:

As the crowd cheered at a Sarah Palin rally this morning in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a man in the audience grinned as he held up a stuffed monkey doll with a Barack Obama bumper sticker wrapped across its forehead.

After Palin finished her remarks this morning, the man holding the stuffed monkey seemed to notice that a video camera was pointed at him, at which point he removed the Obama sticker from the doll's head and crumpling it up in his hand. He then handed the doll to a young boy who was watching the rally from his father's shoulders. The boy's parents later told CBS News that they weren't acquainted with the man who gave their son the stuffed monkey.

But in this video, the man is clearly proud of his work:

Sadly, many folks are still very angry abut the loss of industry in western PA. I grew up there and have family there. Many ultra conservatives put out this kind of very negative hype with little or no concern for the results. It's total racial prejudice. Someone needs to shake them up a little.

Fortunately, there is the Internet and his picture will be seen by milliions. I bet he is REALLy so proud of himself now and also knowing within his class(???) of people they too now know he is a racist. He also looks like the type of neighbor you tell your kids not to go near.

Not only his parents, but IF!!! he too has children or is an uncle to someone, they all know now what a racist he is. Thank God for the Internet.

The guy was just emulating McCain... make your toxic, inflammatory point, then pocket the evidence, shrug, look around you in mock surprise and say, "Who? ME?"

I wonder if McCain is actually proud that the vast majority of his supporters are such ignorant people. From what I've heard he used to have some dignity-too bad we have not seen any of it lately. A Washington Post poll in today's paper says more people find McCain the "risky" choice. Gotta love that!

McCain has been riding on an image, make no mistake about that, but what is fact and what has been fiction all along?? The spin on him has been he is one hell of a guy, but IF he was then his fellow brethen would have supported his nomination and they didn't and haven't in the numbers that would be needed to win. Think about that. He is no more than a very well-honed political opportunist and it shows with his latest stint. And, if you think McCain is one you can't trust, just think how much of an opportunist Sarah Six-Pack is. Now, she really scares me! Think about this too. The person with the nuclear codes is always within 15 feet or so of the President. Would you REALLY want HER having that or any access to those codes?

if George had been curious - we would not be in two wars that cost America near the exact amount required for this financial bail out.

The more salient msj is what the LITTLE monkey has on his tee shirt: "Curious George." Surely that has to be the monkey's name.

I guess the resistance to teaching evolution in our country makes sense now. You can't teach them evolution if it hasn't occurred to them yet!

I'm just surprised the RNC wasn't handing out stickered monkey dolls along with the sheets and hoods.

Kudos for Obama supporters for showing such restraint in the face of provocation after provocation by McCain supporters, aided and abetted by his campaign staff.
