Monkey

CBS reports:

As the crowd cheered at a Sarah Palin rally this morning in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a man in the audience grinned as he held up a stuffed monkey doll with a Barack Obama bumper sticker wrapped across its forehead.

After Palin finished her remarks this morning, the man holding the stuffed monkey seemed to notice that a video camera was pointed at him, at which point he removed the Obama sticker from the doll's head and crumpling it up in his hand. He then handed the doll to a young boy who was watching the rally from his father's shoulders. The boy's parents later told CBS News that they weren't acquainted with the man who gave their son the stuffed monkey.

But in this video, the man is clearly proud of his work:

I wish we could post the name of that ignorant person so his family, church (if he attends one that is), and community can be proud of his racist bigoted behavior.

There's a good chance the stuffed monkey has more active brain cells than the guy holding it....

Active brain cells are in very low supply at McCan't/palin rallies.

William Ayers remains a committed ultra-leftist who has never renounced his past.

NPR had this to say about Weather Underground bomber William Ayers:
"In his memoir, Fugitive Days, Ayers doesn't directly say which Weather Underground bombings he may have had a role in planning or executing, coyly writing, "some details cannot be told."

But in a New York Times article on the book, Ayers is quoted as saying, "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough." Coincidentally, that article was published on Sept. 11, 2001."

I remember when Clinger was bitter, too. It was when he had to put on a uniform and stop wearing dresses, right?

Ahhh, M*A*S*H*...

Btw, you're section 8 has been approved.

Yesterday I saw the video where he took off the bumper sticker and sort of sheepishly gave the monkey to a child. Today I see this one where he seems so proud of himself. Interesting. I wonder what was the difference between the camera or photographer?

Having grown up in Ohio, I feel like I know him a little bit. I at least know people like him. My own Grandfather would have felt the same and expressed it in a similar way. And, yet, my parents both wholeheartedly support Obama.

Monkey Man gives us a clear indication that yes, race is still an issue in America. But, the better story is how many people are letting go of very old, very hardened ideas about race. Moving beyond the narrow, outdated prejudice of their parents or grandparents. It is monumental!

A few more double-cheese burger, super fries, and lard chocolate shake (with extra salt) meals should take care of this guy.

I am beyond disgusted. How can anyone in the country look at the debacle of the past 8 years and continue to vote on racist and social issues? I want Obama to win so I can be proud to be an American, again. I am embarassed by the behavior of some of the people in this country. I weep that some Americans still think like this, and find these sort of antics amusing. Mostly, I am just sad. I want so much to be proud of my country, but people like this guy make it very difficult...

It is sad. Yet, so many are moving beyond this garbage. People are asking themselves some hard questions right now. And, a blogger somewhere wrote this yesterday and I think it is wonderful:

"Is it more important to feed my family than to feed my prejudice?"

So sad...

The Republicans are not catching on....

Time is ticking.. the election is quickly approaching, and their attack lines are not working...

It's not going to work next week, nor will it work on election day... if they don't get down to business - serious business, they won't win this one....

Get off the personal attacks that are going nowheres, and talk about the issues... otherwise, the election is lost for them...

Obama knows this, and he's coasting... the GOP is not clueing in...

If personal attacks are not working today, why do they expect that it will work on election day?

What McCain's "base" needs to hear is that the candidates are playing them for fools. It's the candidates who are making the equation between Republican and Stupid. Republicans need to stop investing energy defending the indefensible and trying to make Palin into a real candidate. She is a pathetic, corrupt, small-town politician suddenly thrust into a world of grown-ups.
And they need to stop trying to explain McCains horrible campaign. McCain has tried to resurrect Ayers from the 'issues trashcan' Did he forget that Obama has been around for 2 years and has already been vetted on this issue? Been there-done that. McCain is losing in he polls because he has run the most corrupt campaign in history and now he's gonna pay the price. What he needs to decide is wether he wants to lose gracefully or hatefully.
