NEW YORK — David Letterman and Sen. John McCain will get a chance to make up.

The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to appear on Letterman's "Late Show" on Thursday.

It will be McCain's 13th visit to the CBS program but his first since he angered Letterman by canceling last month.

Letterman was unhappy when McCain sat for an interview with Katie Couric instead of him on Sept. 24.

At the time he said he first felt like a "patriot" to let McCain off his commitment to deal with the economy but "now I'm feeling like an ugly date."

A McCain spokeswoman said at the time that because of the economic crisis, the campaign "felt this wasn't a night for comedy."

Maybe it'll just be Gerry Mulligan in a rubber bald pate. Am I right, people?

Hopefully Dave will not show up that night and leave McBush hanging. The Presidency will be an entitlement that McBush will not taste. He should stick with his blondes like Cindy, Iseman, and Pfotenaur.

David, your mother would tell you not to hang around with people who disrespect you and lie to you. When are you going to start listening to your mother?
Leave him in the Green Room all night and say you didn't think "He would be funny" enough.

Letterman is a wanker for letting McCain make his show another campaign stop, especially after what McCain did to him in the name of saving the country. McCain should have been invited on after the election, if at all. Bringing him on kind of takes the air out of all Letterman's post-cancellation bluster, doesn't it? What a wanker.

I won't be watching.

Now Letterman can needle him about how he saved the economy
from a total meltdown. And that could be the start of really rubbing
it in to the poor sod.

And that could end up a huge mistake for McCain. Maybe Dave will be the one who actually ignites that famous temper.

Neither will happen. Dave will kiss up to McCain, and they will revert to their tired, good-natured banter about a serious issue: McCain's age. (One past Letterman slam: "Today Senator Obama spent the afternoon meeting with economic advisors. John McCain meanwhile spent the afternoon in a Just Tires.")

To set the proper tone for that segment of the show, when Mc Ancient comes onto the stage and holds out his hand to shake Letterman's, Dave should extend his hand and when it gets close to Mc Ancient's quickly bring it up to his head to smooth out his hair and say, "Psych!"

Thousands and thousands of calls from people to voters saying "You know the McCains have a black baby." I believe that there is a special place in hell for people like those.

Well, I won't be watching and I'm going to cross Letterman off my schedule until long after the election is over. All that will happen is that McCain will get another chance to spew about how he suspended his campaign to go and fix the economy. I'm disgusted that Letterman is letting him back on.
