Editor and Publisher:

Barack Obama picked up at least 15 newspaper endorsements this weekend, including six in swing states Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina and Missouri. John McCain, as far as we know, gained none.

The Wisconsin State Journal and The Sun of San Bernardino had backed Bush in 2004. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch called Obama's opponent, John McCain, "the incredible shrinking man" who had made a horrific pick for his running mate.

Backing Obama: In Ohio, The Blade in Toledo and the Dayton Daily News; the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, The Tennessean of Nashville, the Wisconsin State Journal. the Asheville (N.C.) Citizen-Times, and in California the Fresno Bee, Sacramento Bee, Contra Costa Times, The Herald of Monterrey, and The Sun of San Bernardino (which had picked Bush over Kerry).

It's showing that no one with even a few active brain cells can really believe that Palin should be a heartbeat away. She is just a train-wreck, and it's getting worse for her every week.

Wow. Wonderful.

Share this, spread, disseminate:

"It seemed manifestly unfair to tar him with this association," Ibershof said in a telephone interview this weekend from his home in Mill Valley. "Sen. Obama had known Ayers during a period he was named Citizen of the Year in Chicago, not when he was committing those terrorist acts."

Who is William C. Ibershof? Why, he's the prosecutor who prosecuted Ayers.

Alright St. Louis! I knew they would, the Dispatch is a very good rag. Good to see Ashville N.C. is doing it too! Now if the Springfield Journal Register (you know, the paper in SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS!) would do it. Probably not though, they're about as corrupt as the rethugs are. Yeah, the Land of Lincoln still has lots of racists and wealthy @sswipes and douchenozzles.

Barack Obama!

it'd be better if he was (only) getting the endorsements of the papers that....are and were put in front of him....all of them...i will get back to you with some names...

Blah blah blah to mr bit.ter. You can whine all you want, but it doesn't mean a dang thing about Obama. Sarah, the mighty li.ar who is (literally!) in bed with sece.ssionists is keeping far more questi.onable company.

She can't be trusted even with a low-population state without making a big mess of everything. She doesn't even know how much oil Alaska even produces for the US. She keeps getting it too big, like her e.go. And du.mb as a box of rocks goes without saying...

It wouldn't be surprising if the Anchorage Daily News would also endorse Obama. Even Sarah Palin spoke out for Obama before she was running against him (sort of the same as it was with the Bridge to Nowhere).

Thanks for the link Smirk.

Note: "E&P is charting every endorsement and the circulation size of each paper (see new chart on Monday). So far Obama leads by a 26-9 margin with at least 300 to go. Send us any pick you see, to: editorandpublisher.comlisher.com"

Not be pessimistic, but this ain't over yet. Until i see Obama pull up outside the White House with his luggage, this race is not over. The repubs will just simply go away. And that's my biggest fear! They have unleashed the hatred and not even McCain is going to be able to reel them back in if he loses. God forbid he beats McCain like how he beat Hillary where her supporters thought he stole it from her.
The backlash would be much worse. We gotta finish strong, It gotta have the real appearance of a landslide going into election night. Let's do all we can right up until the night of Nov 4. Goodnight and Goodluck

I'm with you on that. I can't even think about "relaxing" until Obama takes the oath of office.

I don't find any comfort whatsoever in what the polls indicate, and moreover I keep hearing about the "October Surprise"

I wish these freaking elections was tomorrow, because I don't know if I can stand another 3 weeks of this nerve-racking suspense.

I volunteered too. Made a ton of phone calls at the local campaign office. It really helped take my mind off the suspense too. Otherwise, I become somewhat paralyzed and start to let the talk take me over. I plan to go back this week - more calls, less nerves.

Great, great, great! I'm a volunteer also, and it's contagious. I keep running into people that want to join in, and the ranks are swelling.

Our push right now is to identify Obama supporters, and make sure they vote, with a big push to VOTE EARLY if you can.

It's looking good, but I'm like "Citizen8"; the race is NOT over, and all you have to do is remember 2000, and 2004. The Republicans know how to steal close contests.

We need to make this one UNQUESTIONABLE.

In the crucible that is a presidential campaign, his intellect, his temperament and equanimity under pressure consistently have been impressive. He has surrounded himself with smart, capable advisers who have helped him refine thorough, nuanced policy positions.

In a word, Mr. Obama has been presidential.

Meanwhile, Mr. McCain, the senior senator from Arizona, became the incredible shrinking man. He shrank from his principled stands in favor of a humane immigration policy. He shrank from his universal condemnation of torture and his condemnation of the politics of smear.

"....It is about the strengths of Barack Obama, whose rise to prominence is not a fluke or national infatuation but the consequence of his remarkable skills -- a keen intellect, noble intentions and the wit and grace to express them in ways that have inspired millions across the country. He has a rare gift exactly suited to the fearful times -- he knows the language of reassurance and hope....."

One of the papers who endorsed Sen. Obama today.

Amen to that.

Who has the HIGH Ground? Obama Campaign no Violations of the Law!

But just look at this on the McCain Side:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sarah Palin - Violation of Alaska Statute for Misuse of Power

John McCain - Ethics Code Violation and support of Financial Criminal

Cindy McCain - She and her father continued business relationship with Keat5ing 11 more years!!!!!

Rick Davis - Fannie-Freddie Scandal - firm receiving check up until last month

What a great combination! No wonder their campaign is so Erratic and unprofessional!

Dare we, who've been with Barack since the beginning, breathe a tad easier? Though we can't really let down our guard 'til the votes are counted, there DOES appear to be some LIGHT shining now, at the end of this very arduous "tunnel". Which seems, with more shreds of good news/signs/numbers, to be growing brighter by the day....yes?

I keep suppressing my hope..........I just can't let it surface until we have this thing in the bag. Too many disappointments in the past 8 years. And it keeps me focused on working towards getting him elected. But I'll tell you what......on Nov 4th WHEN Obama wins....I'm going to cry from the depths of my soul with relief.

Stay positive but don't let your guard down.
