I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Mccain

RedState co-founder Joshua Trevino writes on his blog that he can't bring himself to vote for the Republican ticket:

In the end, I couldn't do it. My California ballot arrived in the mail today, and I opened it fully intending to vote for John McCain. I filled out the state propositions first -- yes on 8, no on everything proposing a new bond or new spending -- then the local offices, straight Republican excepting Kevin Johnson for (nonpartisan) Sacramento mayor. Finally, the vote for President of the United States: an academic exercise in California, where Barack Obama will surely win by a crushing margin. But good citizenship demands voting as if it matters. Do I believe in John McCain? Not as much as I used to. Do I believe in Sarah Palin? Despite my early enthusiasm for her, now not at all. Do I believe in the national Republican Party? Not in the slightest -- even though I see no meaningful alternative to it. So, my choice for President in 2008, scrawled in my ballot as an act of futile protest, is Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. If nothing else, I am confident this is the first of several votes I will cast for him in years to come.

I popped over to RedState the other day.

Near the top of their site was some post citing "evidence" that Ayers was the ghostwriter of Obama's first biography.

And their regulars were just oohing and aahing about how well laid out the case was.

And this is not on the MSM why? Because there is probably some gaping holes in that story and nobody will touch it with a ten foot pole, not even the Enquirer.

"Gaping holes" is probably too kind to describe it. Try "total nonsense."

How could any conservative vote for McCain? He is a socialist. If he wins, he will advance a socialist agenda.

I would be afraid that his agenda would border on fascism because I don't think he makes his own decisions or sets his own agendas. Always somebody else in the background pulling his strings, just like Bush.

If you want to vote for Jindal in the future, other than a write in, you'd better get yourself on down to Louisiana in a hurry. He'll never be on a national ticket. The man believes in teaching creationism in public schools. Obama is likely to win in a landslide. That result will likely end the alliance between the traditional Republicans and the evangelicals. These two groups have nothing in common other than a desire to win the White House. They'll be accusing each other for the loss. Many years of very bad times lay ahead for the Repubs.

When a guy thinks Bobby "Exorcism as Excuse for Kidnapping" Jindal is a better choice than JMc, you know there's no hope for Grandpa.

McCain was a better pick than Jindal, but that was before he put the wackadoodle Palin on the ticket.

It's gotten so bad that even Laura and Barney aren't going to vote for McCain now.

You have the right to vote for whomever you want. I am glad it is not McCain. It is to Obama's favor that you vote anything but McCain.

Now , really, just who are those guys on the Rep. ticket? Now there's been a finding that Falin violated the Ethics law thus breaching the public trust. This would constitute a minor campaign distraction about like that old pesky financial crisis--dog gone it! With McSame's ethical violation in the Keating 5 investigation, that makes one ethics violation a piece for those six pack mavericks. Now ain't that some kinda reform we can believe in my fellow prisoners. We should be afraid! We should be very afraid!

I must protest, you are spelling her last name as Falin, this is so not nice. I think Stalin would be closer to the truth.

This is much more than a red v. blue thing this year; this is the year when a major party has the NERVE to put up a candidate who just got busted for an ethics violation and act like the opposing party candidate is some kind of criminal just for running against them.

I believe i read somewhere that both candidates, Pres. and VP, had ethics violations. First candidates to come into an election with this. They probably made the guiness world book or records.

sad to think how many people will just throw their vote away when there is at least a slight possibility of real change....."an act of futile protest".....i think not. you can see that the mcpalin ticket is pretty frightening so why not vote for the democrats and use your vote to help a country move towards change rather than assuage the guilt you feel over having such a dysfunctional party at this time.
