Fans of Greek mythology are no doubt aware of the Riddle of the Sphinx: "Which creature in the morning goes on four feet, at noon on two, and in the evening upon three?" The answer, "Man," was correctly provided by Oedipus, marking an important step on his rise to glory as the King of Thebes, and eventual shameful downfall as the incestuous husband to his own mother.

In the spirit of incestuousness, and riddles, we'll offer one of our own, before the media's most fervent conspiracy-mongers get too far down the road they are traveling. Who was it that rallied with John McCain, "earned the respect" of Texas Governor Rick Perry, was backed by Florida Governor Charlie Crist, got pumped up by Arnold Schwarzenegger, got kissed by Michael Bloomberg, was rewarded by Mel Martinez and was otherwise supported by Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, and Joe Lieberman?

For the answer, click on over to the Oxdown Gazette, and learn what Oedipus learned, namely, that the truth can be a real mother----er.
