I think McCain is waiting until Obama’s inauguration to spring his trap.

Right, that makes so much sense...lose the election by sitting on a "trap", and wait until Obama is inaugurated to spring it.

That definitely makes more sense than trying to win the actual election.

/end sarcasm.

As Bar-ry's lead shrinks, the market rallies.

Bar-ry would devastate the market. He would slaugh-ter small business and ki-ll job creation.

McCain felt justified cheating on his wife for 5 years as she held on to hope he would outgrow that phase, but what he did was eventually leave her for one of the bimbos.

Keating Five lined his pockets well enough that he shouldn't need to scam us anymore, but I doubt he'll
stop this late in the game.

McCain is not his brother's keeper.

He gets to play his favorite role now! He has a mental picture of himself but I actually look at it more like this:

"Look in the sky. It's a plane! It's a bird!," "Not plane, nor bird, nor even frog, It's just little old me, Underdog."

There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here!

AND THERE IS EVEN A NIFTY THEME SONG!

When criminals in this world appear,
And break the laws that they should fear,
And frighten all who see or hear,
The cry goes up both far and near for
Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog!
Speed of lightning! Roar of thunder!
Fighting all who rob or plunder!
Underdog! Underdog! Underdog! Underdog!

i don't know...i'm thinking franks was spot on with his "mighty mouse" reference...

Mr. trouble never hangs around,
When he hears this Mighty sound,

Here I come to save the day!

That means that Mighty Mouse is on the way!

Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right,
Mighty Mouse will join the fight!

On the sea or on the land,
He's got the situation well in hand!

McCain's "got Obama right where he wants him?" Reminds me of the Woody Allen scene where he describes winning a fight, "First I smashed my face into his elbow."

Ha ha, I know right?

What a completely juvenile, transparent thing for McCain to say. This has to go down as the most embarrassing presidential campaign in history.

McCain is reeling and Obama moves forward with a well thought out addition to his economic plan. Unlike McCain trying to spell out his plan in a debate that he cannot really explain. Obama is two steps ahead of him getting out his plan now. Anything McCain does not will look like a me-too plan.

"Obama's proposals include:

-- A temporary $3,000 tax credit to companies for each new job created in the United States over the next two years.

-- Penalty free withdrawals from 401(k) and IRA retirement accounts up to a maximum of $10,000 this year and next.

-- A 90-day moratorium on foreclosures for homeowners who are living in their homes and making good-faith efforts to make their mortgage payments.

-- A call for the Treasury to help unfreeze markets for individual mortgages, student loans, car loans, loans for multifamily dwellings and credit card loans.

The plan also calls for temporarily eliminating taxes on unemployment insurance benefits and having the Fed and Treasury prepare for guaranteeing a broader range of liabilities of the banking system.

Jason Furman, a key economic aide to Obama, estimated that the proposals would cost an additional $60 billion to the federal treasury over two years."

You know, all of this would make me feel a lot less worried about losing my job, honestly. I think that's everyone's fear.: losing your job, health insurance, retirement savings and ultimately your home.

Add one thing, Obama...make companies continue your health insurance for as long as your unemployment insurance holds out.

Another thing about unemployment insurance that has always bugged me is that you can't go to school to improve your chances of re-employment (even night school) and collect unemployment. Makes NO sense to me at all.

It's more direct than that. A vote for McCain IS a vote for Palin as president.

No way is McCain going to last 4 years if his health does not get him Palin will. With Palin's blind ambition and her seedy husband McCain will need a food tester.

It's all about getting out the vote.

OBAMA SUPPORTS I DON'T CARE WHERE YOU LIVE OR HOW OLD YOU ARE YOU HAVE TO GET OUT TO VOTE. GALLUP IS EVEN ANTICIPATING LIKELY VOTERS ON A NEW MODEL BASED ON THE THEORY THAT MORE DEMS WILL ACTUALLY GO TO THE POLLS THIS YEAR.

Gallup is even anticipating LV (likely voters) on a new model based on the theory that more dems will actually go to the polls this year because of their enthusiasm for Obama among young voters and African Americans. If we leave it up to someone else to vote for Obama he could go down as much as 4 points in the polls. The election will likely tighten during the end and those four points could mean the difference between defeat and victory.

"Yesterday, Gallup Daily had it 50-43 McCain among registered voters, so its "likely voter" screens shaved three points for the "2004 model", and one point for the 2008 version.

Today, Gallup has Obama back up 51-41 among all registered voters. But check out what happens with their "likely voter" screens applied:
Registered 2004 model 2008 model

McCain 41 44 43
Obama 51 51 53

The old model, as usual, will narrow the gap, again shaving three points off the topline...
...But more than that, it shows a significant boost in overall Obama support at 53 percent."

John McCain: Master of manipulation

John McCain used Sarah Palin to say things he couldn't say. His campaign started handing microphones to people in the audience, to whip up anger. To say things he couldn't say. "Capture the daily photo op John" was hoping this public display anger would stir up his base with terms like 'socialists' and 'arab'. There's no way at this point, to know if the McCain staff at the event, knew in advance, what the people were going to say. Problem is, it backfired. His only act of decency in a month or so , just after nodding his approval at "Mrs. I'm Scared" then toned down the attacks. All of a sudden, McCain gets a "decent guy " label. Just like that. All is forgottten, we suddenly, with three sentences, we have "The old McCain" back.

Don't buy his act. Reagan was dubbed The Great Communicator. John McCain is The Great Manipulator.
Like every abuser, they all have their "I'll change" story after their target has finally put their foot down and stands their ground with a "I won't take this anymore."

That's what you see from McCain right now. An abusive bully who has been caught and whose seeking your acceptance of an apology. He'll be nice for a week or so. Don't worry, America. It never lasts with these kind of people. Angry John, abusive John, the liar John....he'll be back in a week or so.

Don't forget. People don't change

Not even a month ago, according to him the economy was "fundamentally strong". So these more recent collapses, sort of took him by surprise. Besides, the public was hitting him, for not addressing the issues.
