It is UNbelievable to me that people can and do judge other people by their skin color. Black, red, yellow and white skin is what... 1/8 inch thick? Talk about shallow thinking? Spell c-h-a-r-a-c-t-e-r

Im not going to watch this. I've seen just previews of his show and Im completely turned off. The Living Color and Martin Lawrence times have passed. The last thing I want to see on tv is parodies of stereotyped black people. Its not funny David. I know you are a comedian but come on. Chocolate News? Spare us. I hope the show fails miserably. I like D. Grier but this...I hope fails.

Thank you, it's embarrassing. Some of these comedians are perpetuating the very racial issues they criticize. As long as they are paid they're happy. But they don't care about ruining the image of other blacks.

I think we've gotten beyond this kind of racial humor. If you don't still believe in stereotypes being real, Grier really isn't funny (at least IMO).

Not to assume anything about you, but I would guess someone that knew and regularly spent time with black people wouldn't be bothered by this. Eddie Murphy still sells well in the cinema. Go watch his recent movies (or any black comedian movies) with a group of black friends and enjoy.

Hahahahaha! Yeah real funny. But behind this joke is an understated issue in the black community about whether lighter blacks have it easier against racism. And I can attest that is not the case. Whether darker or lighter, character and personality can mean a lot regardless of your hue. I'm sure Barack Obama endured his share of being called n**ger and a thousand other racist insinuations. And some whites are offended he calls himself black, well think about it, wouldn't he have been reminded he was black despite his white family half? Why did that only matter when became a successful presidential candidate? These are rhetorical questions for serious thought.
