Hillary Clinton appeared on "Fox & Friends" Tuesday morning, where she discussed sexism with co-host Gretchen Carlson and took the opportunity to say that she "appreciated" Fox News' balanced coverage of her campaign.

"I think it's part of our culture," Clinton said of sexism. "We have certainly gone way beyond where any society has ever been in expanding opportunities for women, giving women every chance to fulfill their god-given potential, but there are remnants and we still see it and we have to fight against it and we have to stand up against it and we need people in my position and your position to call others on it when it happens," she told Carlson.

"We did call them on it at Fox, in fact I think you went on record saying that Fox was the most fair and balanced place during the time when you were running," Carlson said.

"There were a lot of times when I appreciated the commentators and reporters on Fox who did step up and make that clear," Clinton responded.

Clinton also said that Sarah Palin is facing the same sort of sexism that she faced.

"If you're a woman in a high enough, visible enough position, some of that's gonna happen," she said.

Watch (sexism conversation begins about two minutes in, with 1:30 remaining):

In March, Clinton surrogate Ed Rendell praised Fox News for the "most objective" and "balanced" coverage of the Democratic primary campaign.

I lost all respect for her when she sat down with papa bear but then Mr O turned around and did the same...this shows that both would do anything to get votes.

Bitterness eats at you like a cancer...doesn't Hillary look sick! You cannot fix what you will not acknowledge...the Clintons lost the election because they went negative and racial. To this day, they have not accepted the responsibility for their own defeat! Instead they have lied on Obama and accused him of sexism, while they secretly continue to run against him. They are skilled politicians and they are still out there stomping agaisnt Obama. Hillary has not given up hope to run in 2012!
No Clintons, No Way, No How!
Obama-Biden 08!

For Hillary to have been champion for the civil rights of minorities...it appears that the only ones that she care about are the women (white)! The fact that a MINORITY could still shatter that glass ceiling has never been spoken from their lips...to her it has to be a female... it could even be a pit bull w/lipstick! The bible says: "all things work together for good, for those who love God, and are called according to His purpose." I am so glad that the sheets of racism has been pulled off of the Clintons! We, the African American base have always been in their corner, see that their hearts are full of bitterness, jealousy, envy, and strife toward Obama. I will find it very hard to vote for a Clinton again. Fox is and was very ugly toward Obama during the primaries, while they gave Hillary a free ride to continue her race-bait on their shows. I find it suspicious that Hill and Bill are counseling McCain and interviewing with Fox...less than 3 weeks before the election. There are so many secret codes for bigots, I believe they are getting their message out to them! Obama-Biden 08!

Of course Hillary apprecicatecd FOX NEWS, it promotes the same brand of dishonest, mean-spirited, divisive, destructive politics as warfare that Hillary loves and depends on.

HIllary and Bill are history now. Obama beat them by taking the high road in politics, and he will beat McCain the same way. Bill and Hillary's contention that only they could stand up toe the mean and nasty GOP machine was FALSE, more lies.

Obama will have won the presidency by defeating the CLINTONS twice, once in the priamry and once in the general. They have done NOTHING to help, which is probably a godsend.

If the Obama, the Democrats and the nation are lucky, the Clintons will soon just fade from sight/, a sad, embarassing footnote in history.

I think Hillary did very well in this interview - I thought the so-called "reporter" was VERY leading in her questions. The whole 18 million voter thing - i think even Hillary looked like she was thinking "ok now...we know that most of those people have now gone to Barack."

Hillary and her campaign just never understood that Fox was using her and that Republicans wanted her to win because they were wanting to trash her as the nominee.
Wolfson later became a hired tool for Fox. He doesn't get it either.
There was a cluelessness with the Clinton Campaign that was inate with Hillary, Lanny Davis, Wolfson, Wesley Clark, etc. that just never sat right with me. The Clintons thought they had something in common but Fox has nothing in common with the Democratic Party.
And the word "News" should not be used with the word "Fox". It's insulting.

Is there any way we could stop putting the words fox and news together? Perhaps Fox network,Fox television,Fox propaganda ? Every time we put ' Fox ' next to ' news ' an elderly person in this country is one step closer to senility. So please ' fox ' .then any other word besides 'news' or 'information '. Did anyone notice how the reporter got the interviewee Hillary Clinton to agree that the coverage of sexism was " fair and balanced "?that is because Fox #### was successfully sued for false advertising over the use of the slogan " fair and balanced reporting " because it was proven that they are NOT anything of the sort ! Fox is not allowed to use the slogan " fair and balanced reporting "So now; they resort to using the phrase second hand, as an opinion, or to describe events other than reporting(we now go to our fair and balanced desk) and it makes me want to regurgitate my fair and balanced lunch!

Why is she giving Fox & Friends ratings? And her husband was just on Greta's show last night. That's the second time he's been on in several weeks. I think they're trying to give Fox more power because they want republicans to win. And why does she keep talking about sexism? Just because she lost? She lost to an African American. Only one of them could win, & I somehow doubt that if her opponent lost, he'd be claiming it was racism. I think she wants to create sexism controversy to hurt the dems.

Hillary and Bill Clinton are appearing on Fox news so they can reach conservative leaning voters.

Are there a lot of votes to be gotten from the FoxNews Audience? Probably not, but if 5% of the Fox News Audience is undecided thats thousands of votes. In conservative leaning states like Ohio, Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Missouri, Indiana, that could be the difference.

The Clintons are smart politicians and are going after every vote.

They don't seem to be trying very hard to get the dems any votes. He didn't say a word in support of the dem nominee when he was on last night. I think they have their own agenda.

By that rationale, John McCain and Sarah Palin should be interviewing with Hoff-Post every other week to reach the liberal, undecided voter... give me a break!

HIllary does a great job in this interview. She pushes the Obama/Biden ticket VERY clearly, while still remaining gracious. It does the democrats no good for Hillary - or anyone from the democrat campaign - to be seen on Fox as intimidated, angry, grumpy, or unable to rise above the sort of ridiculous questions this interviewer continually tried to push. Watch the interview - Hillary thanks Fox politely, then advises them that, if they care about this issue, they'll need to keep addressing it after the election. As for acting in ANY way bonded to Palin, Senator Clinton speaks about the general experience of women in high office. at NO point does she imply in ANY way "what happened to me is happening to poor Sarah - we women need to stick together." In fact, she says again and again that the McCain/Palin ticket does not represent the principles she holds dear, and that she will be disappointed in anyone who supported her in the primaries who does not support Obama/Biden.

Some claim that Obama sent Hillary to do this interview. You are no making any sense, people. I watched this video and there is nothing to be gained by it for the Obama camp to convince undecided voters at this junction in the campaign... Who do you think is the audience that watches Fox News... ex-Hillary supporters? No, the rabid bigots and racists looking for a reason to justify their hate and there isn't one of them that is going to switch parties because Hillary says so... in fact, her mere presence and verbal support of Obama only adds gasoline to the fire and Fox knows this! She did the interview because she has nothing to lose... she can pay lip service to Obama but there was no emotion or conviction behind her words... maybe, just maybe she misses all the attention she got during the primaries!

Some ny friends of the Clintons who have contributed with big $$$ to both campaigns are very big with this faux network---they must have talked her into it--

They can be talked into anything. They know how this game is played. They've been at it for years. What can be said of a couple from Arkansas who search for a state to run in and then pick NY as if they were playing pin the tail on the Donkey?

Unfortunately, I'm afraid they've done a lot of damage to any future voters. Trust is a huge issue for many, including me and the Clintons lost it this year.

I'm on your side, but differ with you on this key point. The "bigots and racists looking to justify their hate" are not watching Fox. Those people probably don't watch TV politics any more than they read it. I think the FauxNews base is a large swatch of less educated, ill-informed people who think they are conservatives because they think they're supposed to be. They grow up listening to the headline - "patriotism, tax-cuts, your money, choose life, we're the best country, government is bad", etc. - and never look deeper, never want to learn more, never try to think hard, don't understand why anybody would disagree with those "values". For the FauxNews viewers everything is self-evident, it's all black or white. Therefore they are "right" and FauxNews keeps telling them that. It's intellectually empty, but emotionally satisfying.

WTF, Hill? Did you think Fox was "fair and balanced" during the trashing of Hillarycare? During Whitewater? During Travelgate? During the Lewinski scandal? During the impeachment trials? I think you're losing it.......

No, the Clintons are politiicans. There's a difference. No soul, no heart, just do what's necessary to win!

I agree. I am so glad obama did not pick her for vp. Everyone thought obama could not win without her and I think this is a big hit to there ego. obama does not need there help. T hey should focus on recouping all that money they lost in the primary. QBAMA/BIDEN 08.

Hilllary has such a hard time saying that she and Barack stand for the same things. It's almost as though she's making a concerted effort to defy that logical bridge for her stonewalled supporters. I mean, seriously; at least on domestic policy, you'd need to split hairs to find any substantial differences between the two. Not once since her concession speech when she "suspended" her campaign has she said "My Dear and Loyal supporters, Barack Obama and I pretty much agree on everything, if you vote for John MCain, that wil be a vote against everything we stand for."

Politiicans who are more brand than substance will eventually lose out to the more genuine ones. You have to stand on principle. How can anyone appreciate the deception, outright lies, and angry rhetoric of fox news, just because they did a few favorable reports about you to grab a few exclusive interviews?
